If the Mets and Braves, split their doubleheader tomorrow, both team are in the playoffs.
Bet the SPLIT.
@the1toturn2
The team that wins Game 1 is guaranteed in. That team has no reason to burn up pitchers in Game 2 because the wildcard series begins the following day.
Arizona is totally screwed. Game 1 winner will use a guy in game 2 who won't be on playoff roster.

Winner of the 1st game might just play garbage lineup game 2. Don't they play a WC game Tuesday? I would think they would want to rest main guys for that.

The Braves clinch a playoff berth if … they win either game of the doubleheader (or both). They are the No. 5 seed in all of these scenarios and would go to San Diego to face the Padres in the Wild Card round, with Game 1 on Tuesday. The only way they don’t make the playoffs is if they get swept.
The Mets clinch a playoff berth if … they win either game of the doubleheader (or both). If they sweep the doubleheader, they are the No. 5 seed and face San Diego. If they split the doubleheader they are the No. 6 seed and face the Brewers in the Wild Card round. The only way they don’t make the playoffs is if they get swept.
The D-backs clinch a playoff berth if … there is a sweep in the doubleheader, and it doesn’t matter which team does it. In either sweep scenario they are the No. 6 seed and face Milwaukee in the Wild Card round. If the Mets and Braves split the doubleheader, they’re out.

If you simply must play game 1 it has to be the Mets
If you play Atlanta and they lose then they’ll be a huge favourite for game two and the Mets won’t care

Absolutely THIS
and if ATL wins game one, hit NYM in game two.

Both the Braves and the Mets hold the tie breakers over the Diamondbacks

@nolemonasses
I have not seen a game 2 line. In for one unit for game 1.
Game 2 is a very special situation, I will hold my nose, and take the chalky side. Top players will most likely be resting after clinching a playoff spot.
