Vegas hates Texas (for some reason)

Isnt it amazing how much hate vegas has for the Texas Rangers. Wow. Only -108 at home vs the Sox with a debut pitcher. Are they not even seeing the pitcher matchup nor whos at home? Is vegas literally having fun giving away free money. They are setting some crazy ass lines this year.

People have taken vegas to the bank though with texas over the past week. Texas has lost a couple including last night but wow.  Unless vegas sees them as a fraud ready to buckle. I dunno.

Martinez hasn&#x27;t been as good as his numbers indicate. He has an xFIP of 4.88 which is well below league average. He is a fly ball pitcher in a hitters park. Meanwhile, Eduardo Rodriguez has pitched to a sparkling 2.40 FIP in 48 innings in AAA, with a 8.19 k/9 rate. Im not saying this makes the Red sox the right play, but it is an explanation of the line you see. This game is a toss up IMO

I think the line is where it should be, you talk like having a rookie pitcher is a bad thing but most times they are good on their first couple of starts because teams have no scouting reports on them. Eduardo Rodriguez is doing well in AAA and he's one of the better pitching prospects for the Red Sox.

I would've liked this game a lot better for the Rangers with any other Red Sox crappy pitcher than with this rookie.

Even outside of the pitchers, the Sox are playing the shits. Why take the shitty Sox with a rookie pitcher at the current price. I dont understand the reasoning behind that.

Im not saying its a slam dunk for texas but the line IMO should be closer to -130 or -135 Texas. THEN maybe it would make sense to take the Sox.

Yeah i dont think anyone goes into a GAMBLE thinking its 100%, but id like texas 70% of the time in this instance. I doubt this kid has faced anyone close to as good as fielder or even hamilton who swung pretty well yesterday, may be warming up

Texas now at EV money @ my book. So one would assume more money coming in on Boston at the moment, right? This would be favorable to Ranger bettors? Good spot IMO for rangers. Don't think Boston can out hit the Rangers.

The X factor is obviously the highly touted prospect Eduardo Rodriguez pitching for Boston. I still lean Texas with unbeaten Nick Martinez going. Looking at possibly the Under. You think Over when you see Boston/Texas, but with this pitching matchup and I see the Under is 8-1-1 in the last 10 meetings in Texas. This isn&#x27;t my favorite game on today&#x27;s light card.

...seems like nobody can figure this game out...or at least, figure out the way that Vegas is looking at it!!!...let&#x27;s look at a different "angle"......not quite sure, but, isn&#x27;t Texas coming back from a long road trip?...in many professional sports, when a team plays their first game home, after a long road trip, it is usually a crappy one!!!...does anyone have any stats, on how Texas "performs", in this "situation"?
