I got paid on Philly ... with a final score of 2 - 1 !!! I can't explain the rule - will not question a winner ... $$$ is in my account !!!

Most prop wagers will be graded for most books. The thing is most books don't have anything in the rules about prop wagers going the full game or not.

but from a bettin purpose u bet philly to win the first one to 4 games and they won 4 in betting purpose so philly series should be paid

Sorry but i do not think mr. Vanzack knows what he is talking about!!!!!!  And if you still have a book that is reverting back to the old rules then get a book that plays by the new rules.   I myself got screwed in the college world series when NC went up 2-0 in the first inning and they (suspended) the dam game until the next day had the same pitchers and everything but it was still a no bet

payne034, the series winning team has to win 4 games on the field in order for a series bet to cash.  The individual game can be declared a final for betting purposes even if it is to be resumed later but that does not count as a win towards a series bet.

The only fair thing to do is make it a no bet so everyone is happy.  If you have a book that is reverting back to old rules then maybe they are still writing there bets down on rice paper too incase they get raided by the popo!!!!!!!!!!

i lost my tampa ml bet...yes, the rules are there in the books that says game is final after 4.5, or after the last full inning...so after 5 innings the score was 2-1 phili, and even though tampa tied it up, phili didn't get to bad in the bottom of the 6th...if phili had batted and not scored, then the game got suspended, no ml bets would've counted

either way, this is not right...tampa can win this game and my tampa ml bet is already a loser...i can't remember being this pissed in betting in my entire life...

for people that took tampa in play, those bets probably still count

Well I bet with a local and on line and both were no bets so if you want to win on partial bets then i guess start calling your bets in through Mr. Vanzack

Most sportsbooks still going by the Las Vegas sportsbook rules.  The thing is, its only a "old rule" for the MLB.  Nothing has and nothing will changed about the reverting rule. 

Remember its for betting purposes, while the new MLB rule affects the actual game.

It makes sense now that I think about it.

Top of the 6th, Rays tie it up to push, but what about the bottom of the 6th?  You leave no chance for Philly to score again.

funny isnt it flutie u dumb ass its a legit argument as betting series it says first to win the series which last time i checked is 4 games so if i played philly 4 games in a row then i would be a winner in my eyes i had tampa i lost but in any world series bets it should pend over until game goes final

But how can they take away my runline bet, when u need to play 9 to grade the result? So they made a killing on TB and Over and sides. Big pay day for the books!  For the PERSON who says get a "Sports book that doesnt write bets down on RICE PAPER" Vegas has the same old rules as well. They should just make every bet as action and continue for the outcome tomorrow!
 
Like golf, or ...any sport that will continue tomorrow.

i hear ya dumb ass GO JAGS, GO BILLS, GO LIONS man your at least consistent as I am documented and well respected and am pretty consistent in winning all sports i bet
 
I have a legit argument and dont need some dumb back street looking prick boy arguing calling me stupid over a legit question.  I would of never been mad in game 142 of the baseball season but its the world series VERY UNJUST 
 
tennis doesnt go back to who ever won the last game or golf doesnt go back to last hole bc the leader may of not even started on some days

So if Philly would have hit in the bottom of the 6th and not scored the game would have ended a tie?? I lost on Tampa Bay ML due to this rule and I can't think of a sillier way to lose a bet, I would rather have Jamie Moyer hit a grand slam to beat me than a freaking thunderstorm, looks like Philly backers have another call go their way tonight.

Does anyone know of any sportsbook that uses the new rule?? Because I refuse to play with any sportsbook that plays with this rule.

I got one more question that I don't think has been addressed yet:

I bet the Phillies ML before the game but I also did a lot of in-game betting on the ML both on the Phils and the Rays.

Matchbook rules say that 5 inning game will count for ML
but that live betting on the ML will be cancelled

Will they cancel all the live betting I did and revert back to what I bet for the ML pregame?

How will they differentiate?
What do you guys think?

Maybe im a dumb ass too Flutie but I think it is a valid argument, the phrase used too loosely by the sportsbook is "For betting purposes"...well isn't taking the phils to win the series a bet?? Since sportsbooks are ruling the Phils as the game 5 winner then "for betting purposes" the Phils have won 4 games...just think legally it's left open for interpretation. Either way you look at it, I think the right thing to do is for this to be no action, but I probably wouldnt be saying if I had the Phils.

funny thing is my bookie graded as pending until tomorrow as rule changed this year in baseball so he changed it being justifying so kiss my ass my book graded loss but no big deal u r not evern worth my time anymore good luck with the bills and jag ml
