I heard it was good but i wanted to ask you guys your opinion. 

I was thinking about buying the series.

I watched the entire series a month ago for the first time. Amazing epic, probably the best series ever produced. Like you, I had heard great things about it, but never got around to watching it. Dude buy it, it's awesome.

Unless u prefer to buy 5 seasons.

Just watched it last year.....don't know why I waited so long.

The reason I asked is because if you turn any direction most of the time you will find someone who loves the show. This is one of the most underrated/MOST TALKED about shows. Your question seemed like you were bringing up an odd show that no one had heard of and it was kind of funny.

Look for the "danish" The Killing. It is aired on BBC4 now.. can be downloaded with english subs.

This is just as good as the wire.

I watched the first half of the first season and I was beyond bored. I’ve been to church services that were more interesting. Usually, I would have quit after a couple of episodes but because everyone talked about what a great show it was I forced myself to watch more than I usually would hoping it would get more interesting. It didn’t.

 

I plan on going back and giving it another try one day though.

Best tv series ever made. I couldn't get into the 1st couple episodes of season one and almost gave up, but it turned out to be completely badass.

Same with season 2 which is probably the most under rated season of them all. My favorite season was the one with the kids/school.

true but there are some super popular shows that i dont like like 2.5 men, and i never got into CSI or some super popular crime shows like law and order.. 

I had one friend tell me that the wire was a great show so i was thinking of getting it, i just wanted a couple more opinions from around the same age group to make sure.
