All i can say is this is an absolute masterpiece. The effects are groundbreaking to say the least, and the Na'vi(blue people) are almost easier relate to than the humans. Please dont look for political or environmental undertones in the movie, even though there may be some. Enjoy the movie for its purpose: to stimulate your mind for 3 hours and keep you thinking about it after you leave the theatre. this will be one of the few movies i may see again in theaters. Zoe Saldana is brilliant in it and the most of the supporting cast is outstanding. I can honestly not see any real flaws in the movies barring a few cheesy one-liners, but they are easily overlooked.

See this in 3D, although be ready to pay $3 more(12.25 for our tickets last night) but it was more than worth it.

I hope everyone enjoys this movie as much as i did.

  very good....but I feel it won't appeal to most though, the cinematography and visuals are amazing throughout the movie, story is farely basic but its more about everything else going on. It was a very fast 3 hours which is always a good thing.

  Clearly to me the movie was also referencing our government or just the world today in general, not sure about Cameron's beleifs or if he is political but the comparison to the search for foreign oil was pretty obvious.

Either way, I enjoyed the movie and that works for me. It nots going to win Best Picture or anything but it will win some awards for directing and cinenamtography and such.  

The best scene in the movie....Michelle Rodriguez running around in a tight cut up wife beater....

Movie of the Year? .....tough one there I would say Inglorious Basterds, Star Trek and Invictus were the best 3 of the year

and for the life of me, I never understand why someone would go see a movie more than once in a thearter

I saw it in regular format, going to see it in 3D as I got 2 free passes....

Star Trek was such a dissapointment for me, I really did not like it, but Inglorious Bastards was good and i have yet to see invictus.

Just saw IMAX 3d versions.... holy cow.... makes all the other 3d movies I have seen look like "stereo" sounds compared to THX.

Must, must, must see this movie in IMAX 3d.

Great movie (although to initial post you cannot watch this movie without every scene being political and environment as that is what entire movie is about).

I don't see movies in theatre more than once, but will be going to see this one for the 3d alone.

Yes you pay more for 3D

I saw it in IMAX 3D and WOW it was very cool.

I enjoyed the movie but the IMAX 3D experience really adds so much more.

Saw it last night in 3D.

10/10. One of the best movie experience you'll have, fellas. Can't miss this one while its in the theaters.

Whats cool was that i walked out, checked the Eagles/Cowboys play-off scores and found out i hit the Over 45 while the game was still in the 3rd Quarter.

What i noticeds was strange was that the date on Jake Sully's video log wasn't sparsed out. Like things happened in a matter of 3-4 days?

The month was August. But the days were constant at 23 and 24. The year 2157 or something like that.

Not sure. Will have to watch it again to check those dates.

And i wondered what happened to his old flying mount after Jake tamed the newer & bigger flying mount.

And i didn't need to check the credits but after hearing all those native american accents, i had a feelin' Wes Studi had to be involved.

And yes, Michelle Rodriguez looked might delicious.

i saw it 4 nights in a row like a loser...2x i saw it for free because i just walked straight into the movie at 10 at night by myself...there isnt anyone ripping tickets that late on weekdays...genius move by me and loved every second. another good strategy is keep your ticket stub and flash it to them, usually kids are working so you can just get by.  i wont make a habit of this but for great movies its worth it

Finally saw Avatar today - in 3D - wow - what a movie - It was amazing - it flew by fast - even though it was 2.5 hours long - really enjoyed it.

I wanted to see the movie after most of the crowds had thinned over the last few weeks.  Big thumbs up
