do you seriously consider RS an authority on music hahaha.  their yellow journalistic trash is for hipsters.  RS years ago used to mean something.  True, he was barely known in the states.  Shows how dumb we are.  Jimi Hendrix had to go to England to start his career with the Experience. Very telling.  If you barely know the guy, i suggest you all start doing your home work.  "Walk On Hot Coals" is a good start

Don't know why I always write it as Rhodes when it is actuallly Rhoads it is on T-shirts that I own tough to figure how I could forget.  Anyway, I picked mostly rock guitarists but the list grows if you get into classical, bluegrass, jazz etc.  al di meola comes to mind.  BB KIng, Carlos Santana, Chuck Berry, etc too many good players but my favorites are above.

How can you have Canadian Bacon and Pineapple better than Ham and Pineapple? Man, what were are thinking! Ham totally smokes Canadian Bacon.

Rhodes also was a very good classical guitar player in his own right as well. You can hear a lot of that classical influence in his solo's most notably Mr. Crowley.
