Huge Beatles Fan

Beatles.

Greatest band in the history of music, and the only band on the planet that every 6 months or so depending on my mood that I can flip flop my top five favorite albums by them.  Right now, I would go Revolver, White, Abbey Road, Rubber Soul, and Beatles 4 Sale.  Get me in a month and Abbey Road will be on top and Sgt Pepper and Magical Mystery Tour will be in the top 5. 

As for solo careers, hard to say exactly who I liked the best.  I think the best work was All Things Must Pass by George, but I didn't really care for anything else by him other than the album with When We Were Fab and Mind Set on You(can't think of the name).  Overall though, oh man, it's hard to say.  McCartney had such a larger body of work than John so the sheer amount of his hits are overpowering and it would be hard to argue that John had the better career, but John's solo albums were just so powerful.  The first track on Plastic Ono Band still gives me chills as it fades away.  Double Fantasy was amazing too.  Christ, would I would do to hear a followup to that album.  McCartney had a couple great albums, my favorites being Ram and Band on the Run with Wings.  The latter has really stuck with me.  I got into the Beatles in college, and slowly after I picked up albums one by one.  Xmas of 2003 which was one of the best times of my life(Sep 2003-Novemeber 2004 the best stretch of my life), I got Revolver and Band on the Run as gifts.  Just hearing BotR and I swear it brings me back to 3am xmas eve night at my house, my roommates chilling in the living room, and me in my room high as hell listening to that album for the first time.  The opening riff alone and it's like I'm transported back to that magical night.  The next day I delved into Revolver and that didn't come out of my CD for at least 6 months.

Oh man, I can go on about the Beatles all day.
