Here are a few solo artists which will NEVER infect my ears.

Enrique Iglesias... holy father coattail rider, Batman.
Celine Dion... great voice but her public persona grates on me like                            teeth on craggy granite.
Cher... hot in her day, now I can't imagine what she really sounds like
Miley Cyrus... no fucking way
Melissa Etheridge... never liked her style... or songs.

I've seen Gwar about 20x in about 5 different states. The live show is all about the killing and raping etc.. The quality of the music onstage suffers mostly because,,,its just too fucking loud. The CD's are pretty heavy and actually good Heavy Metal music In my opinion. But I do realize they aren't everybodies cup of tea.   I remember one time after they killed Paris Hilton on stage the singer "Oderus Urungus" informed us in the crowd that if anyone wanted to fuck her, her rotting carcass would be in the dumpster out back after the show

Tesla in 1992 was the worst concert I ever witnessed....Kool Moe Dee in '89 falling off the stage while dancing was one of my favorite moments

Although Kanye comes off as a jerk in public, his music is fucking awesome.
Boy bands have had a major part in the watering down of the musical gene pool.
Taylor Swift is harmless fluff, but still harmful to my ears.

I will never go to a Pat Metheny or Jeff Beck-type, or any other guitar 'virtuoso' concert again. I saw Joe Satriani on his Flying In a Blue Dream tour and at the time I thought it was phenomenal. Now, no way in hell am I going to listen to someone musically jerk-off and release their aural spunk all over me. Steve Vai is probably the worst of 'em all. 
All great instrumentalists, but they're too much, just too much.

I cordially disagree. When used in a more subtle manner, the autotuner is a great tool for bringing out something the artist normally wouldn't. Check it out: at 2:53 the autotune effect is great.

 Inversely, used as an over the top device, it can truly make us laugh out loud.

Like it or hate it, the autotuner has been and will be here for quite some time, I'm sure. When used as a creative tool instead of a harmonic crutch, I think it's pretty cool.

I'm hoping I never have to chaperone my kids to a My Chemical Romance or any of those newer, hipster, emo-like bands that's polluting my airspace these days. Or Dragonforce... I heard enough Dream Theater back in the day to know when to say when to modern day prog-metal fusion. I am so happy I never witnessed Dream Theater.

Nope, not at all. What don't you like about rap music? Don't say everything because that would include drums, bass, guitar, vocals, etc,... blah blah blah. What specifically steers you away from the hip-hop?

Sugar, my critique was directed squarely at the radio rap charlatans who have absolutely ruined one of my favorite musical genres.  All i'm waiting for now is a posthumous biggie/pac autotuned reconciliation.  I wasn't thinking about pink floydish shit- your song wasn't really my cup o tea, but it didn't suck beavis.
