Love books, especially on bands an such.
Gutcheck and Sugar, I scored Jimi Hendrix "Electric Ladyland" concert DVD for $11.99 at Barnes n Noble
I might, no scratch that, PM me and I cand send you guys a copy in the spirit of out "guitarist covesation........
Also picked up two issues of the same magazine of one of those great British mags called "Classic RocK" They always come with a DVD and cost $10 but spend the whole magazine going over great music new and old. Make Rolling Stone seem like "Highlights For Children".
In both issues, Joe Pery has basically said he's kicking Steven Tyer out of Aerosmith, and just trashes him for going back hezy on drugs.....
I also bought a magazine called "Mojo" with Peter Gabriel on cover sporting no hair except that little satan looking beard he's working. (I love Peter Gabriel)
Also cost $10, but I'm telling ya, those Brit rock magazines are tremendous and wel worth the $10 compared to a $5 piece of shit Rolling stone mag that has becoume just about 50 pages of liberal rants (not that I don't agree, but it gets old).......
That being said, I just bought the latest Rolling Stone and it's the best one in a decade with a great piece on Hendrix.
Back to that Mojo mag.....the CD has about a dozen indie bands, and well worth it.....
I am loving this Borders against Barnes n Noble wars....I bought 10 DVDs, most pretty new and 2-3 classics, all for $7.00 a piece last night, including the Hendrix concert DVD.
Sorry, but pretty excited about the score!
