70s-pretty decent 
80s-hairbands dominated 
90s-grunge bands emerged cant complain 
2000s-hiphop became popular a little disappointment but alot of music was still worth listening to 
2010s-my opinion a disgrace to music

I'm a sucker for psychedelic 60s stuff. Or early 90s grunge I grew up on.

Love all music(most music), but those two my absolute favorite.

Growing up with and the era that influenced me the most were the mid 60's and the 70's and as i grew older I began to appreciate the music that influenced that era

Definitely the 1970's...Many happenings as Rise of Disco, Music of the Hippie, Afrobeat were noticed.

For me the best era for music is in 1960's and 1970's. Of course I have reason... it's because almost all the classic music that the people, also the young people like me still plays are started/composed in these years.

there is a lot of good music today, every decade has its talents... RIP to one of greatest talents: Chester from Linkin Park that died yesterday. So sad :(

Personally, depends on when you grew up. For me, 60's & 70s. Objectively...innovation, quality, time tested remembrances, major cultural influences outside of just the music....60's & 70's starting with Elvis & the Beatles.

Provide proof as to what decade was the best for music. It'll be opinion only.

Record sales doesn't constitute best. Name recognition doesn't mean best. Longevity and relevance helps make something great, but best? Favorite is what all this is. 

Answer this correctly: What was the best decade for painters? Or sculptors? Or pottery? 

There may be a best decade for toilet paper. Quilted Northern, hands and pants down.
