Daytona Discussion...

10 races left until the Chase. It's coming up to crunch time. Can Keselowski somehow sneak into the Chase with a second win on the strength of Penske's complete mid-season turn around? Got to love this weekends double header. This is the one race TNT actually covers well as they have complete race coverage with fewer but multi-screen commercials.

I'll have action again on Gordon again this week. Lately he's been there at the end and I see no reason he won't have a strong car again this week as well as the very important solid drafting partners for the two car tango. Jr sure to be a popular play, does Johnson ride with him and return the favour from Talladega?

Would like to see Clint come out around 15-1 although February strength doesn't always translate to July success in Daytona.

I'll be camping but will have the big screen on outside and we'll have a hell of a party going on.

Jr is gonna win it this week. Infact I think all  Mr H's boys are a threat this week. However I will have some coin on Kurt. he's got his mojo going in the right direction.

As far as TNT coverage. I think they suck. I could barely hear them talk over the engines last week. All I could hear was the cars roar and heard them faintly in the background. They are a long ways from ol Boogity!

This is one of my favorite races of the year but the fall Talladega race is still #1 with me.

Dimes will have some good longshots posted up I hope being that its a holiday prime time race.

Plate races that is

Normally, I'm partial to the 42 at plate tracks,  but he's pissed off everybody recently. Esp. at Sonoma. My advice, stay away from him this weekend.

No Worries- Like Blaney also. Dude has been real good at the plates recently. While the win is unlikely a matchup play if you can get it is a solid play IMO.

Leaning 11 and 18 at the moment.

Seriously....If the Hendricks clan is as stout as I think they will be, you have to think JJ returns the favor for Jr at Daytona. The problem is to win you will have to have a partner to push and Jr said that he and Jim were faster with Jr doing the  pushing. If thats the case then it will be nearly impossible for him to win it as the pusher. That'll be something to watch for in practice imo..
