Sounds like next to no chance he starts Martinsville and figures like 6-10 weeks being thrown around. Rip up those Hamlin futures...Go ahead and rip up Logano futures as well cause if he's in a chase spot when Denny gets back, he won't be anymore.

If Denny could run a few laps, they could always switch drivers at first chance, and Denny would get the points.

Denny still +750 to win Championship at bet365.

Kyle Busch at +750 is tempting. May make a play on Kyle once Dimes put their odds up again.

i know it wouldn't pay denny tickets but there is always the outside chance this year u could have a driver win the championship but a different owner win the championship depending on results out of the 11 car with vickers in it!!!  i don't like the chances but if allmendinger,smith,austin dillion, boris said, ricky bobby, maybe darrell waltrip starts the night race at bristol  and they all keep getting decent finishes that 51 car could b in the top 10 in owner points or a wild card spot!!!! now that would b a major upset in nascar  say what u want but smith and allmendinger have had WAYYYYY better finishes then what kurt did n that car last year he wrecked every fuking week!!!

Was just looking at some stats for Denny he is last driver that has done anything worth a flip in there rookie year in the last 8 years!!!  I think if he misses 5 races this team is still god enough to get him  in the chase as a wild card  2 wins in 16 races is very possible for him!!!  Will b curious to c if he shows up at the track weekly?? I hope sadler isn't put in that car!!! Vickers is the better driver!!

I for one am not a Hamlin fan but he is a great race car driver and I certainly do not want to see Nascar lose a driver with another 20+ years racing left in him. My dad had a brick wall fall on him and broke something in his back (I was like 4 years old when it happened) and I don't remember exactly what. He had back trouble for about 3-5 years and after his 3rd surgery it actually got better. For people who sit in one position for hours..testing runs, practices, races.. I will be shocked if he is ever 100% to drive again. Lets hope for the best!

gonna miss atleast 5 races...still think he has shot at making the chase...will need atleast 2 wins most likely.

don't think he will miss dega, i believe denny will get cleared to drive that week will start the race pit on lap2 switch drivers fall a lap down which means nothing early at dega and he will get the points for dega this team will make the chase they can easily win 2 races in 16...     now if he miss dega and darlington 4 get about it!!!

Looks like Denny out for a little while, that sucks.  Going to martinsville & wanted to see the fireworks show between Stewart, Logano & Hamlin. Never want to see a driver get hurt no matter how much I dislike them. Hopefully Denny will heal up quickly! Anyone else on this forum headed to the paper clip next weekend?

Clepto, I agree that Kyle @ +750 to win the title is very tempting.  Seems he is racing a little smarter & got that monkey off his back!

. Looks like I might b going   If Miami or ari. Make the final 4 I am going to the games sat. Night stay the night n atl . Catch a 8:10 flight to char. Which gets in at 9am pick up my car and make the 2hr drive to the paper clip  with 2+ hrs. To spare I will keep u updated kouz   Go canes and cats

Sucks for Denny.  He still can make chase with a few wins.   His back isnt broken because of Joey.  Its broke because there was no safer barrier.
As for Stewart, he us a person and hypocrite

Cool stats if you make the race give me a call. Should be taking a pork shoulder off the grill bought time you arrive & they'll be plenty of ice cold miller liters in the cooler PSM, actually thinking of going to dover or pocono also. I'll let you know if we decide on Dover!

don't know about dover in may??  there r 4 tracks i haven't been 2 yet  both road courses,dover, and chi.  my girl and i r going 2 sonama for a week in june and it just happens to b the week of the race  i tricked her behind good on this trip told her we would fly out on a wed. and return the following mon. and she even asked y r we traveling back on the mon. and not the sun. i told her i saved a few hund. on flying back mon.   then waited about 3 weeks and told her OH MY GOD i cant believe it nascar is in sonoma the same weekend we r there!!!  she just game me the look and said u r an fool       she will get the wed.thur. fri. and sat. on this vacation but i get the SUNDAY          and i am trying 2 plan a trip 2 watkins glen in august with my 12yr. old nephew he really wants to c niagara falls   and i figured we could do that all day on the sat. and catch the race sunday..      cant wait till martinsville!!!       go canes 2morrow night!!!

then glen is a great track.

The only ones I've been to are Martinsville, Dover, Pocono, The Glen 

I'll be the only one in attendence at Dover with Biffle Gear on

Mark Martin is going to be driving the #11 while Hamlin heals, and Vickers is going to be in the #55 for all of those races.

Anyone have an insane line on Mark Martin to win it all? I'm thinking they put him in the 11 because a chance exists Denny won't be back this year. He's 25th in points and could make the chase in the 11 car. Just a thought. If I could find some insane odds a couple of clams might be worth a toss. Made worst bets in my life. Thoughts..............

Hey Googles, being a long time Martin fan since the days of his ASA racing circuit i see where your coming from but in all his years racing in nascar he seems to always be happy being a bridesmaid, he just didn't give it his all and he had some preety good teams with rousch back in the day, just my thoughts i know your not gonna put alot on it but goodluck.

I was actually wondering about a similar bet--an insane line on Hamlin. If he only misses 5 races, he would need to have an average finish of 13.1 to make the chase based on last year's points. His average was just about 14 during this stretch last year. We all know that this is a driver that can rattle off multiple wins in a row.

I think either might be worth a look if the numbers are right, quite frankly.

will martin win one of the next 5 races ??     maybe kansas he dominated the first half of the chase race there last year and then got in that BAD wreck on pit road where his car crashed in to the opening of a pit stall!!!
