Probably because he's overreacting to the Suns' victorious effort over the Lakers on Wednesday, a win that was as inspiring as it was wholly unexpected (by him and many others).  Combine that with his even fresher recollection of watching the aging Mavericks gasp and wheeze through a game just a few hours ago in Oakland.  So now the tired Mavs have to gear up for their third road game in the last four nights, and this one's against the upstart Suns (who just beat THE LAKERS, and that's like almost winning THE CHAMPIONSHIP......or whatever).  So, to recap......overreaction to a surprising nationally-televised Suns win over a team he thought was pretty good + overreaction to just having watched the Mavs lose = "suns -2.5 I'm 100% sure about this"

The point of my typically snarky post is that there might be something wrong with one's handicapping methodology if one day you think a team (in this case, the Phoenix Suns) has no chance, and just two days later, you think they're a sure thing.  The Suns are not nearly as good as they looked in the 4th quarter against the lousy Lakers, and they shouldn't be trusted in any matchup to the extent that one feels "100% sure about this."

Not true, Paidonjok.  Metta World Peace will chuck up too many 3-pointers tonight at the Target Center, as if he is a player who is good at shooting them.  That is 100%.

D'Antoni is the worst.  Telling Metta World Peace to shoot ten threes a game is like telling a degenerate gambler to bet ten games a night.

He has shot 3s at 35.5% this season.  That's not bad at all really.  

He is also just a bad behind and he can do what he wants.

It isn't?  That ranks him 90th in the league out of all players with at least 28 attempts this season.

The suns are terrible i wouldn't touch this game with a ten foot pole. Anyone who watched them vs. the lakers realizes just how bad they were until the lakers melted down in the fourth, any legitimate team would have been up 25 or so going into the fourth vs. them, i believe they were shooting 29 pct before the fourth qtr in that game.
