There's no way we can ever prove whether games are fixed or not but you would have to be a FOOL to think they AREN'T possible. When money talks, people listen. Ask Lance Armstrong.
If teams were fixing outcomes of games since the Black Sox Scandal, what makes people think to this day there isn't a remote possibility of other teams or players doing it?

That's the first time I've seen a losing team run out the clock, but I also can't remember ever seeing a team losing by 9 foul with 14 seconds left. My guess is the Char players on the court had never seen it either. So feeling unsure if Bos was going to take offense to that foul as a breach of sportsmanship, Char chose to make sure they didn't provoke Bos any further and just ran out the clock. That's the only non fix explanation I can think of.

"Ive never seen a losing team refuse to chuck up a free wide open uncontested shot/layup to close out a game.
Never."
Sorry, i dot want/have time to read all the post if the points i am making have been addressed...
A losing team down by 11 with no chance can dribble out and high five the winning team with no shots, it happeneds...In the senerio u are putting forward (i did not watch the game) its definetly rare but calling it a fix is ludicris IMHO.
I have been betting and wtahing the nba for 25 years and I can tell you that there were always useless fouls at the end of games that are not seen today....
Back in the 90's, a team down 10 with 20sec would foul ALL THE TIME...Now , its the opposite!!
Just chuck up as a loss bros...its not a fix, these lines are close (and totals are SICK CLOSE)
Its gambling brother, like playing roulette!!

For everyone who can't belive that nba is fixed watch this picture: https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-eYg-hmeyLw0/UE1dKd7bHxI/AAAAAAAAA4g/0W8N-mqIkuA/s640/always-you-with-that-conspiracy-stuff.jpg
NBA is a big show and business. And some games are certainly fixed.
imagine this.. If some NBA player is your friend and you wanna make money.. you can tell him, please shoot today under 17 points. He can do that for you, just this one game. But there's is a lot of players, friends, familys, agents and lot of other combinations and keys. They making money with nba. it's a business.
This is a good way for them to make more money. To be a proffessional sportsman you have to be a good actor.

Always cracks me up how guys who have no clue at all how fixes work are always talking about this game or that game.
If there's something strange going on, it will NEVER...and I mean NEVER be on display in obvious spots like the end of the game. The garbage will take place long before and it will be during the normal flow of the game. A sloppy turnover here, a brick there, that ball that just somehow slips out of the guy's hand and goes out of bounds, a missed FT, etc.
By no means am I discounting the possibility of fixes taking place. But the end game situation that took place here sure isn't it.
