Did you ever stop to think that maybe... just maybe... the linesmaker's were sharp in setting the line and total for this game???
This is shocking to see....someone like Mikado who knows all about the grind of sports betting and has been around for a while, comes out with a post like this. So what about Tim Donaghy? I vividly remember this POS making one phantom calls after another, even in the playoffs, and I wondered how hes getting away with it, until the truth finally came out.... if u ve been betting basketball for a long time, theres just too many inconsistencies on both the players parts and the refs, for anyone in the right mind NOT to question them...you have to be the same type of person that found out very late santa claus doesnt actually exist

Was just watching that game live..... It blows my mind how ANYONE with a fully functional brain doesnt recognize a fix/manipulated/influenced game when its right there in front of your face.
....
In my career of sports betting i have seen the losing team dribble out the clock prob 5% of the time, maybe even less. Ive never seen a losing team refuse to chuck up a free wide open uncontested shot/layup to close out a game.
Never.
You don't remember Labron James quitting on MIke Brown in Cleveland Playoffs Game 5... doing nothing at the end of that Celtics series???
Charlotte - after they fouled - realized that was stupid and pointless. The game was over... so they did nothing at the end because it didn't matter (to them, anyway).
I had the Under 191 - didn't watch the game. Watching is pointless. I play spots and - though I care about the outcome - don't get overly emotional when a team of careless players don't give a rats behind about doing the right thing.
Bet the game. Check the scores. See the outcome. Move onto the next game. Rinse and Repeat.

So Charlotte pointlessly fouling late wasnt supposed to happen? I thought the fix was in. You said it yourself. You are trying to have it both ways but you cant. Just answer, what was the fix? what was the final goal? Bos cover, over, under, Cha cover? What was it?
Charlotte and under was the fix.
The foul wasnt supposed to happen.
The foul made it so only 1 of the 2 cover. After the celtics hit both fts.... If charlotte covered, game andv2nd hf would have to go over

Totally agree brother. It happened in the Heat Jazz game too But with 7 point deficit with less than 20 secs. If I was a coach I say more than 3 possessions don't even try. I agree that the player, coaching staff, refs know what the line is before tip off and will finish off the game to their liking.

This is one of the stupiest threads I have ever read on covers.. First off if you bet early on charlotte at plus 11.5 you won your bet, if you bet late on boston at minus 10.5 you also won your bet.. You are talking about after two hours of basketball, countless shots that some foul at the end of the game wasn't supposed to happen? Again a fixed game would not depend on a players shot to go in at the end of the game.. it would not even come close to the original line..

Furthermore, i dont really believe players actually bet on the game themselves. This is what i believe happens.
Players are young , prime red blooded males at the peak of their manhood. They are on the road 50% of the time in plush hotels etc etc. They are away from their wives, kids, families etc etc.
I believe that while on the road, they get hookers, coke etc etc in their rooms. They get these from pimps etc etc. And in RETURN make a few promises. That way, their is no money trail and BOTH sides of the party have their balls in the vice.
I say this because here in Australia, this has happened, the way i described it. I dont have evidence that this is what happens in the states, but it wouldnt surprise me.

with the line movement in the cha/boston game it was no way fixed at all... 11 is a big number anyways but i seen it at 11.5 down to 10.5 over under 191 to 189 ..... if u wanna say fix and be credible say that VEGAS had equal action both side of the line and wanted the "juice" thats all

Why even bother to answer a post like this? Cry babies that take a hit on a fave are always crying fixed game.
4fuk sake, players make millions a year, and refs make 650K, like they give a rat's behind about a Vegas spread
Gotta love people like this.
Typical covers idiot, too lazy and uneducated to read a thread, comes in to make a random post that doesnt have to do with anything in the thread, taps himself on the back and walks around with the most delusional underserving sense of self accomplishment.
Way to contribute
1) no one was complaining the celtics covered.
2) no one took the favorite in this thread.
3) refs dont care about a vegas spread? 2 words for you ....TIM DONAGHY.
Thank you for your worthless contribution to our discussion, you may now go back to coloring.

They lost the game. Why would they care about shooting an uncontested shot down by eleven.
Is this a real question?
By making this statement youre implying thats its in the norm for a losing team to run out the clock.
No offense but that makes you borderline special ed.
Do you know why the winning team is the team that always runs out the clock at the end of a basketball game........!?!?!?!! Its because the losing teams arent holding the ball you idiot!!!!!!!!!!!
I mean jesus are peopke really going to trybto convince me that its a normal occurance for a LOSING TEAM to ho,d the ball and run down the shot clock?!?!?!
Do you people watch games?!?!?M?!?!?!
This is getting crazy now.

The team that is losing is always ....and i mean always shooting. I dont care if they are down 42 points....if theres 22 seconds left in the game and the shot clock is off they will shoot until they miss 99.9% of the time. Until the winning team gets the ball back and can run out the clock. This isnt quantum physics...just basic facts. I dont care if a meaningless basket doesnt affect the outcome.....if youre losing you play til the end. Fact.
Have you ever seen an nfl team down 28 points with 35 seconds left take a knee?!?!?!?! You will never seee that.....ever. The losing team will always be running plays no matter what.
Stop acting like this is an everyday occurance.
The only time a losing team will run outnthe clock in a nba game is if they are down double digits....and they are inbounding the ball with under 3 seconds left....they might just tap the ball to the official. But for a losing team to pull away from a wide open layup with 18 seconds left in order to run out the clock and a shot that directly affects the spread......thats fishy, i mean cmon!!!!! This isnt rocket science

My only point in this threD is that wht happened at the end of thT celtics game was extremely fisshy.
Do you know how many bets i would have won in my time... If the losing team didnt jack up a poitnless meaningless insignificant shot at the buzzer at the end of a game. If the double digit dog that happened to be losing just ran out the clock to end the game!?!
Losing teams are never supposed to do that. Ever. Its not even like they were down 35 points in an embarrassing loss.... It was an 11 point game with 18 seconds left, and u pull up on a fast break to run out the clock? You dont dunk it? Thats normal to youZ.???????
Ive seen the winning team do that, sure ... Thats way different, thats a sign of respect and not running up a score..... But the losing team!?!?!?
If thats normal to you, then i have no interest in communicating with you.

Regan my sympthies, I don't blame you for your skepticism, as there are plenty of times where teams will hoist up shots in the final seconds with the game decided and it ruins a margin. So it's definitely odd to hear that they didn't hoist a shot after a foul down 9. I'm not saying it's fixed, but I understand your frustration for sure. Tomorrow's another night.

Last Thursday I had IND -4.5 v NYK, they're up 7 less than 10 seconds to go and the Knicks threw up like 3 3-pointers before Amare puts a layup in to end the game and IND wins by 5.
