Bator, you misread me. Or maybe i didn't explain myself the way i should (i'm from Europe). When i said that Joe public doesn't work with okc, I meant that even though the public is all over the thunder, i don't really care in this one. That's because OKC go out and put it all out no matter what joe public is on. Hope you're on the same ride as me on this one - OKC.
And for your wise opinion - why do you think the lakers cover tonight?
I am about to leave my office and head to staples for the game. You dont understand the emotions that we in LA have for Dr Buss. It will be on full disay tonight, highlighted by Kobe. It does not help boston that they came in from Denver where they stank it up. If it wasnt for iquodala's beautiful 0 for 7 display and all the missed freethrows denvef would have won by 16.

Sorry for the spelling, ipad while walking....dwight also got his vagina stroked today by Mitch saying he's our future and that he is the best center in the league. He might actually play to his size and strength today without getting pushed out the paint and having the ball stripped 8 times on potential dunks.

Fair enough. I still think that Boston will play like a playoff game because... well it's the celtics vs lakers rivalry. Maybe the lakers will win, but to cover 7 points is a lot. Especially for them. Really jealous your'e going to the game though. Have fun bro.

Damn. Howard should have been the celtics best player today

Okay, now I understand. I figured I misread what you said. Thanks for explaining. I'm not on the Thunder tonight (because small road favorites are not my thing), but I won't be going against them, either. I will be rooting for an easy cover by the visitors.
As for the Lakers, this is the first game following Buss' death, and wouldn't ya know it, it's against the franchise that Dr. Buss spent 34 years chasing, the Boston Celtics. That alone should be enough for a Lakers double-digit win. Add in the fact that the crappy Smeltics are winded from a game last night, and that the Lakers owe them one from the recent beatdown in Beantown, and you have a play for me on the Lakers -7. I was one of many who had raised eyebrows yesterday when I first saw this line, but after thinking it over, I agree with the odsmakers and then some.
Oh, and the Lakers owe their fans a REAL effort to make up for that shameful no-show last Thursday against the Clippers.

Bator -- you of all people should know that this Laker team has ZERO pride and plays ZERO defense. You really want to lay more than two possessions with them against their traditional rivals who blasted them earlier this year in Boston, no matter what the situational motivations may be for LAL?
This seems somewhat unlike you. I've read from you so many times this year how bad LAL is on defense and how they have no heart. Now you are laying 7 with them?

Thanks Milky, will do.....you got to understand, staples is the house Jerry built. This is a game Kobe lives for , us against our biggest rival who is on a down swing. (Injuries including barbosa who was key during their win streak is finally catching up to them, they are very thin in the back court, this is where the lakers lose games), the stats don't lie, we don't really give it up anywhere else on the floor, we lose games by opposing guard play period. Back to back from denver, I cant see the Cs putting up more than 90 and due to the situation, I can see us putting up about 102 or so. GL either way you play boys

Bator, so much respect for you as i'm gonna ask you in the last sentence of this message who else you're taking today.
BUT
I have to agree with kapono. They've got no pride. They owe their fans a lot. They barely won the so bad Suns at home. With all the emotions going around, smeltics (LOL) still a b-ball team. I can't see them not fighting with blood today. Playing in Denver is extremely hard. I have to take the celtics, and now i know for sure because you're on the other side and I still like Boston today.
So....
Who else are you taking today?

Killer, BOL. I'm not going big on this one, 1 unit as usual. I think lakers win (might not) SU but this will be close. They'll spit blood on the court for Jerry, but boston also got a lot to lose here today. Pride games, I believe, go down the wire.

Normally dont comment just read, but i believe lines are set according to power ratings, adjusted for injuries,a few points for home edge, moved to even money out an such as that.Used to believe in traps, reverse traps an the usual logic bet against the public, earlier post nailed it though, house whether local or offshore or vegas has the deeper pockets and nobody that i have ever known wins week after week year after year.25 years ago i picked up a Gold Sheet and realized that u could be within a field goal or so on a football game played towards the end of season.I dont know how they come up with these ratings,as it would seem to me it would be a lot of WORK.Many i know do not believe this and think lines are set daily or weekly 4 football. This is not the case. The edge would be knowing which clubs are over or under rated.I coached high school sports over 30 years, mainly football,as a dc,but coached em all at one time or another.I can say anything and everything happens,an i really mean everything,so at the end of this longest post ever submitted,by me bet the team you think is the rite play and rock on.

I got BLOWN AWAY in that Hawks fourth quarter debacle. I didn't bet anything on the Fakers. I agree with what you guys wrote. Can't trust 'em to care the way they should.

My head's still spinning from watching that 4th quarter gang rape in Atlanta. That was unlike anything I've ever seen. Who says you have to play 48 minutes to win in the NBA? Sometimes, twelve is more than enough.

What a meltdown in the 4th by the Hawks. Mchale was smart double teaming KD the whole 2nd half and when the others got cold that's when Houston made their run

Bator, same here with me and okc. 14 point lead 6 minutes to go. harden couldn't miss, durant was so slow. It was like they wanted to lose. Harden could make a shot from the bathroom. BAD DEFENCE. Is this the same Houston Rockets team that played incredibly bad against the Sacramento Queens?!
I'm stunned here too. I can't take it out of my head, this is most hurting lose i had in months.

Sometimes all you need is 6 minutes, Bator. 12 is really too much.
I was watching those two games on adjacent TVs and literally had my jaw hanging watching one home team storm back while the other home team went down in a hail of turnovers and wild shots.

Awful night. The worst for me this season. What are we taking today to go back on track? I hate to admit it for the 2nd day in a row, but I like both plays as the public.

Milky I think you gotta fade the public every now and again, Vegas wasn't made off the public getting it right, I wouldn't bet against Lebron bc I'm in miami.. But they are in a tough spot tonight...it wouldn't hurt the lebrons losing tonight, besides if it was a sure win for them, it would be like -5.5 heat. And spurs are playing thier third to the clippers this season, they have lost both, if clippers have any losses at home one can surely b to the spurs.. Trends will determine what sides I go with tonight, but all perspective can be insightful... Three point dogs might steal the show tonight..
#fade the public
