well said, I feel the same...what is equally disappointing for me despite the cash loss is that teams, coaches and players completely give up in certain spots, even the Spurs managed to score 100pts each game in a sweep against GS last year yet somehow the highest scoring team w/ the MVP haven't broken the century mark in 4 straight games. It's weird to me. Also feels like playoffs have become some sort of chess match for the coaches where once there is a hint that they cannot win the game they pull starters, pack their bags and live to fight the next game, how many 20pt blowouts have there ben in this year?
Anyways, just yet another piece to factor into the final submit as if it wasn't complicated enough already. Once again my apologies to anyone who tailed and lost money on that over, was abysmal and reminded me of when Harden no showed in the G6 114-75 loss at home to Spurs last year.

When Harden has to run the offense entirely on his own he would run out of gas quickly.

When Harden has to run the offense entirely on his own (i.e. both creating his own shots and distributing the ball) he will eventually run out of gas (both in that G6 last year after a brutal OT battle in G5 and the second half of this game) because that is really a heavy burden for any player. In the first three rounds of playoffs most of the time there is only one day's rest between games (sometimes that also includes the travel) so there isn't really much time to recover from the fatigue that is being built up throughout the series. In the Finals it is a different situation because since two years ago, there has been two days' rest between most of the games so that give teams extra time to recover.
SAS managed to score 100+pts last year because GSW was controlling the pace. In the last few games the pace was slowed down significantly, maybe because both teams have good defense and it is hard to find good scoring opportunities.

Are you going to release any analysis for the game tomorrow even though you may not play it? Your angles for these games are awesome so I hope that you do. Better luck in the finals brother.

I have to imagine Brad Stevens has been waiting for this opportunity his whole life, ever since the Cavs came in to Boston and sent them on vacation in that 135-102 drubbing last year. Stevens called that game "the pain that is part of the path" and I really feel the Cs are on a path this year and it culminates with this game. Also seems like the perfect opportunity for LBJ to bow out gracefully and move on to a new team, he won his last game at home in a Cavs uniform 2 days ago and now it's time to pass the torch to the future of the East and begin all the where will LBJ go talk. Even though Kyrie is not playing he must be a tremendous asset to Stevens as he knows the Cavs, knows their players and knows their plays. It's a chess match and Stevens is the better, smarter and more patient player. I can imagine we see many Celtics/Warriors Finals and I believe it starts here. The Cavs got their time in the sun, time to pass the torch to a big market, young and exciting team. If Tyronne Lue can get the best of Stevens in this situation I deserve to lose.
To me this League invests in the future, they are at least 2 steps ahead of what we could ever possibly think. So it makes zero sense to me to have LBJ move on to the Finals now and then jump ship. It makes perfect sense to me that he loses and everyone speculates where he will end up and of course wherever he lands he will say that he is hungrier than ever to get back to the Finals, that sells. You also get the bonus of a GS/Cs Finals which will be exciting as you have the 2 most popular coaches, the Cs are the younger version of the Ws that is already circulating and 2 big markets for revenue. I can see Cavs up in 1st qtr or half but Stevens (with Kyrie's help) will devise a way to win. Should be fun.

Forgot to add the refs and didn't put too much stock in it as Davis is 9-2 SU for the home team in these playoffs but was 4-1 SU for the Cavs last year so cancels out in my mind. What is important to me is that the absence of the Foster crew is just as telling as if he was in.

For this game one interesting part is Love's injury. Losing him is likely going to improve Cavs' defense while hurt their offense. However, I am not 100% confident of the Cavs' team defense, which is not as well organized as the other teams in the conference finals and might not be able to counter the Celtics' adjustments quickly. On the offensive end, losing Love hurts Cavs' spacing so they may settle for more jumpers. His scoring duty will need to be spread across other players.
For the Celtics, Brad Stevens emphasized defensive rebounding and transition defense in his interviews. He also put Baynes back into the starting lineup. The Cavs may try to attack Baynes and let him be pulled off the court in order to regain the advantage in rebounding. We may see an interesting chess match around Baynes.

if we do keep this squalid pace and 1st half ends up below 95 I think we get an excellent opportunity to bet over 102 2nd half as I recall that we got burned 2h over in Boston last week w/ a decent ref crew that we got our money back in Hou/Ws game...I can imagine Celtics players pleading with Stevens at the half to take the reigns off and let them punish LBJ as he should be punished

ok here we go...2nd half totals in this series at the Garden have been 95 (Cs were up 61-35 at half in a blowout), 98 (Cavs were up 55-48 at half and collapsed), and 84 in a grinder. We get our 1st 2nd half over in Boston as LBJ and the Cavs won't go down w/out a fight and young Cs are chomping at the bit to wreck this team that embarrassed them in a similar spot last year by hanging 135.

I know i'll be skipping the Finals this year. Good luck National Boring Association. Not a big hockey fan but i'll be watching the Stanley Cup instead because of the Golden Knights.
Sip on that plus money honey!

In the past two playofffs, rockets are 0-5 when Foster officiates and 17-5 when he doesn’t.
Kicker - Chris Paul publicly called out Scott Foster after a game back in Jan against Portland where he got T’d up. I don’t anticipate Foster giving any love to the rockets tonight.

Foster, Callahan, Stafford.

GSW is 1-8 on the road with Foster. There’s stats going both ways.
Foster reffed game 1 and gave gsw the victory. He will return the favor tonight. It’s not a coincidence this fuckkface is getting a game 7 game especially after he hasn’t reffed since game 1

I tapped out, LBJ making it to the Finals yet again took the fun out of it for me for some reason. I guess he is the face of the League and we get it shoved down our throats for another 2 weeks, no thanks.
I do think it's interesting the ref crew of Foster/Callahan/Stafford/Phillips (alt) as Foster has not ever ref'd w/ Callahan nor Stafford in any game regular season or playoffs in last 2 years! I think we won't see Foster tonight and Phillips takes his place last minute, the old bait and switch. So if you are doing your ref homework make sure you look up the stats this year and last on the crew of Callahan/Stafford/Phillips as a possible option as Foster could be a smoke screen. If he is in should be controversial for sure.
Good luck.
