Barako matches well wid bmeg, last confrence baroko beat bmeg by 3 @ Davao, then bmeg won over barako by 1 only after squandering an 17pt 4th quarter lead, in those 2 games ababou played terrific now that ababou is gone my guts tell me to pick Bmeg-4 this is only a short tourney and every winis a must for all teams. Coach Tim already learned the lesson squandering big leads against barako and will be cautious later if bmeg will open up a double digit lead.. Hopefully james yap and simon will have a great offensive game and ping to control demar johnson for bmeg to have a good chance to cover... Lets go Bmeg..

For the 2nd game, meralco beat petron by 10, while petron beat meralco by 1 in their out of town game in their two meetings in the elimination. in their quarterfinals encounter petron covered all their games against meralco winning by 7 in game 1 and by 12 without alex cabagnot in game 2, wid the return of rabeh and the presence of nick fazekas who is a rebounding machine and loves to shoot from the itoutside it gives petron more size advantage and with sol mercado still auestionable due to injury my guts tell me to pick petron-4, hopefully petron will come out with more energy and determination for petron t and will blew meralco out early in the game for them to hav a good chance to cover and to get their first win the the tourney... Lets go Petron... Bol to all....

I have to disagree with KIBOSKI. Barako's backcourt is formidable, with MILLER and ARBOLEDA manning the point. Additionally, you cannot just argue that Bowles, Pingris, Reavis and JDV would just overpower the frontcourt of BB. Pena, Allado and Pennisi are tough nuts to crack.
Thus said, matchup-wise, I see no problem with BB keeping up with the Llamados.
If Barako successfully contains James Yap, they will have a strong chance of beating BMEG by a huge margin. However, (and this is a huge HOWEVER), I think Yap will successfully work his way against Barako. The reason being, ITS HIS BIRTHDAY. So expect a bigger game from BIG GAME JAMES. BUT, there's another catch. TUBID is now with Barako. And we all know that Tubid has the ability to frustrate his former Warrior teammate. So, what gives? Just another usual game from James Yap (26 pts, 4 rebs perhaps).
And that would NOT be enough for BMEG to overcome Barako. I expect DerMarr Johnson to dominate the game with his unlimited range. Pingris or Intal will be totally outplayed by the NBA veteran.
As for BMEG's import Bowles, he'll have a tough night with the gung-ho play of Pena, Allado and Pennisi.
With all things considered, I'd say Barako wins this quite easily, around the 5 to 7 point margin.

Great input Jaworski, still with all of this in mind. I still think that bmegs back court is far superior than B.Bulls. b.bull did lose alot of backcourt players from the last conference such as Paul artadi, Maliksi and ababo. Although they replaced them with players like Tubid and Lanete i dont see them matching up with James and etc. I know barako will be a good team this season but they will surely adjust first and develop chem with this new players who need alot of playing time. Will just have to wait and see what happens
BOL everyone! no hating this is just opinions
