Is Asi playing? Or is he on loan to the Gilas team?
Although Asi Taulava, the likable 6-foot-9 giant acquired by new team
Meralco to be its main post on defense, has been under the weather the past few days, he will play in the Bolts' first ever game in the PBA when the 36th Season unfolds this Sunday at the Araneta Coliseum. Source: https://www.pba-online.net/

aside from asi and cardona, meralco doesnt have much talent
plus the fact the everybody would likely be betting ginebra.. i think 3 is a little low. right?
Wow. Doesn't have much talent? I think Ross, Aljamal, Marlou, Belga, Weinstein, Escobal, Omolon can hold their own against the Ginebra players. I think in this case, size DOES matter.

Wow Ginebra has 7 guards? I don't think Jimbo, Caguioa and Tubid can play the SF position. They'd be out of position if they were to do so. Out of those 7 guards, 6 of them need the ball in their hands to be effective. (aka Superstars) Only Celino Cruz is the role player here. I wonder how Jong intends to rotate his guards

most players in the pba has talent but meralco at this point in time is considered a subpar team in the pba and the gins would most likely be a heavy favorite

this was the line up they had last conference and they did not really compete well that much. i do believe aljamal and escobal are good. but nelbert andd belga shoots too much from the outside. marlou is old. but then again maybe boyet fernandez just sucked as a coach.. as long as menor isnt given a lot of time to play, maybe they wouldnt suck

I think Ryan can maximize Espinas. They have good starting IMO:
PG - Ross
SG - Cardona
SF - Omolon
PF - Espinas
C - Asi/Marlou
Ryan has said Asi will only play limited minutes. The problem with Meralco is their bench. But with the improvement Aljamal had shown, he can be a good scoring option off the bench. I think Meralco will open as 4 point dogs with the public pushing it up to 6.
Staying away from Meralco first to see how they adjust to Ryan's system. Macmac should average 20-24 this conference with Ryan's system.
Looking forward to a great conference guys

I think Meralco could steal this win from Ginebra. Meralco has a coach who will definitely motivate them to win this game and besides Meralco has nothing to lose since they will enter this conference as one of the underdogs even though they have a good lineup
Looking forward for the 1st game of the conference!
