its out of town.. if i remember it correctly, last season.. it favors the DOGS but wth d way GINS play their 1st game, its unexcusable. i think they will come out and play...or not! hehehe

I was following their training camp and Derrick Brown has been a revelation. The man can take 15 minutes off the Cats' rotation and produce quality numbers for them. DJ Augustin is in great form in the camp and is averaging 12points in 60% shooting, 3.5ast to 0.5 turn overs in the 2 pre-season games which is pretty decent (though you'd want more assist from him, but it's only the pre-season). The Beast (G.Wallace) is in his healthiest form at the moment as well as Diaw and S-Jax. Tyrus Thomas is amazing for them as well and could easily be in the starting 5.

Here's how I see the East would wind up:

1 - Miami
2 - Boston
3 - Orlando
4 - Chicago
5 - Atlanta
6 to 8 should be a toss up between any of these teams Milwaukee, Charlotte, Washington (They look great on paper and is very promising with the way they play the Pre-Season), Indiana and maybe even Detroit.



I am going on record saying Atlanta will play for the 8th spot or not make the playoffs. 

I think Bucks get the 4th seed. Chicago, New York, Philly, Charlotte, Atlanta will fight for the last 5 spots.

Gin vs Powerade

These are two teams who play small-ball. Ginebra has the better personnel for small ball and they should bounce back from the opening day upset from Meralco. 
Powerade had a field day from 3 pt land against Rain or Shine (who doesn't play any defense). I don't see it happening again in Batangas. Stadium isn't air-conditioned which I believe will lead to a defensive game which favors the Kings. 
Lean right now is on the Gin Kings.

UNDER 190.. hopefully i get a higher number

reasons:

1. out of town  = extreme heat and with the pace these teams play, they willl tire out easily which is equal to missed shots

2. out of town = players will take a quarter or 2 to adjust to the rim.. sometimes they dont even get to adjust.. look for a 18 14 sort of 1st quarter and 42 38 half score

3. it is normal for a team who shot a high % in the previous game to miss a lot of shots in the next game so expect powerade to cool down..

4. both teams like to shoot from the outside which means less fts and less fts leads to an under game than an over game...

so the play is on the UNDER... id expect NO TEAM TO score more than 90 here

unless ofcourse both teams manage to make 10 threes each... which i believe wont happen

  • Powerade are 2-2 ATS and only 1-3 SU on Saturday games last season.
  • Over is 4-0 in all Saturday games of Powerade/Coca Cola.
  • Ginebra had a total of 6 Saturday games last season averaging 94ppg while allowing their opponent 92ppg.
  • Ginebra are 2-4 ATS but 5-1 SU on Saturday games last season.
  • Over is 4-2 in all Saturday games of Ginebra.

Most likely will stay at 3. Books don't really have any idea what line to put here.
