May be they actually discussed among themselves on the amount of "miss-call" fouls and decided to call it tighter. The main thing is that I just think they were pretty consistent with their calls in the 2nd half.
Hungry11, it's not just my bet that I'm upset about it. That's not even it. I'm pissed off that this cheating is going on and these FUCKING SCUMBAG CROOK referees get away with it, and the league does nothing about it, and the Evil Lord Stern brushes any further suggestion of it under the rug of his huge Manhattan office at NBA headquarters on Park Avenue.
The integrity of the sport is supposed to be sacred, right? Yeah, what a joke.
Started my own thread? Probably not. But I definetely would have been leaving sarcastic comments all over the place attacking the NBA for letting their referees pull this shit. I've been fucked in this manner before, it'll undoubtedly happen again someday, and I can't believe so many guys around here are content to just shrug and bend over for the next referee-administered reaming.

Consistently fraudulent.
The thing is, DrRosenrosen, we don't know anything. We don't know how this was arranged, or by whom, or on behalf of whom, or how, exactly, a profit was turned by having the referees make this game go over 209. One thing I do feel strongly about is that the public's wagering on this game (which was decidedly towards the over) was no factor in hatching this plan. This was a great game to pick, though, because these two teams had already played two foul-filled games this season. This one should have blended in as simply another, but the poor shooting throughout forced the three refs to call more and more fouls, which wound up looking suspicious and weird, even to casual viewers.
). Remember, people can be pretty fucking desperate, even NBA zebras. Plus, you'd be surprised just how easy it is to intimidate (put the fear of God in them) someone.
