Yes, ive made a little money but that doesnt compare to the stress, dreaming of the bad beats etc. Also, im a horrible at managing my money.

I do bet the biggest tournaments as champions in Basketball, Fotball, Ice hockey for a lot. That´s about 20 000 grands for one bet, only one game with odd about 1,4 european. If you cant calculate it is about 5 big bets per year. You dont have to believe me, I don´t care they just asked this question and I am not gonna lie over internet.

I used to only bet mainly to past the time usually during work, boring meetings, etc but had built a nice roll over the past 2 months and using money management been requesting pay outs for the last 4 weeks of about $800 or so. The key I found for me is that because I have a descent job with pretty descent income I dont feel like I need to bet out of desperation or chase if I lose a couple of bets especially when im playing with house money

I was up 10k from 1k and then money management issues and greedy bets brought me down to 5k..not bad for first season but losing the 6k really bums me out

It would be easy to predict the outcome of a sporting event. I think all human beings have the ability to tap into a special place in their mind to grasp this information. However I firmly believe that the casino has a unique intelligence to it, and its able to control a person decision making to do what it wants you to do. that is why the public is usually wrong when it comes to games that are available to wager on. most sharps go against the public. although thats not always the case, in most cases it is. If you were to be psychicly attacked by something like the casino, the first thing it would do is mess with your nervous system. from my metaphysical studies, when a few people share a thought, it becomes a network in a higher mind. I think when a person has the intention to place a wager on a sporting even, they attract something weird that haunts them and pretty much controls them in this wagering aspect. call it ego, or perhaps its something more. I understand im going off the deep end here, but this is all true according to my research. Gambling is probably not a good idea, unless you have a clear understanding what you are getting your self into. Not everything is what it seems. Most people think that the games are rigged, or they think that its a coin flip between two teams. There is way more working against you then just that. you got a lot of other weird stuff out there protecting its property. for example the lines you look at have such a strong message to them than just a money line or point spread. I once thought that casinos could control the outcome of a sporting event by doing witch craft or voodo. I've come to realize that they don't control that, although they might, but whom they control are the players. This industry is evolving, getting dirtier by the days. more players are sucked in every day. its like the tobacco phylosophy. there are always new people turning 18 that are potential customers. Las Vegas averages 900 million dollars a month from straight up gambling. mostly slot players and table games, but sports betting is coming up. and if you think the casino is going to give money away, you are crazy. im sure they have evolved into having their own technologies with all the money they have. I herd that the government has some interesting secrete technologies them selves. A lot of psychic technologies. We havent been taught anything besides math, history science. So I understand if people don't understand my concept. Having Patience is something most people dont have. From my experience, I notice when lets call him "slick" is in my presence of mind. However, when i distract my self with other stuff, I can almost hear or feel its presence leaving my conscious mind, and that gives me freedom. But the second i even think about looking at a game and I put the intention out there that im doing it to make a profit, i feel some jolt of exitement enter me, and once again i feel trapped. Has anyone ever asked them selves why did i pick this play, or why didnt i pick this play when it was so obvious, but something was fishy about it. I once was up 4 5 am in vegas looking at the black jack tables, I give my self some credit, usually i can spot out "a friendly dealer" which means to me, sit my behind down and play it. its just a vibe i pick up, but this night, i wasnt interested in playing, i wanted to talk to the dealer. this older woman who says she has been dealing cards for over 30 years. I asked her do people usually win, she said its a matter of luck. but mostly people don't know when to walk away. they win once twice, and then something happens where they feel the need to sit it out until they run out of planned money. and if they do win, they usually come back the next day only to lose it all. she said to me, you are young, i feel bad for young people who get a taste of winning, because once they win, they are hooked for life. She said to me, i hope you lose bad, really bad that way you learn your lesson and never do it again. i said thank you, its time for me to go to bed. Overall you may not agree with what im saying here, I credit my self for getting outside the box, I was gifted with the lifestyle that led me to lose everything, drop my ego, and see the big picture in life, not just only with betting. Understanding stuff does not guarantee wins, However it makes life deep and meaningful. if a person can pick 1 winner per day and they wager a thousand dollars, they would live a nice lifestyle. but the proof that that is imposible is right here with our streak contest. It has the ability to distort information by attacking your nervous system. For the game it self, it is a coin flip. you have a 50-50 chance of winning, minus the juice. The only thing that can help you win a game is luck. were you lucky when you made the pick, not are you lucky that your team won. I know the casino intelligence knows the outcome of these games. now as i sit here, do I have the balls to submit this??? dude i just spent 15 plus minutes writing this, I think someone out there needs to hear this.

lots of all in black jack hands, the last one was a $450 hand some sports, some parlays, some winning some poker tournaments
lots of alcohol, lots of titlting and i have no idea how i really did it
have fun with gambling i love running small amounts into big amounts for fun
but if i see a huge play ill put 500 online in a second to bet it but they dont come around everyday so i like to get my profits in my pocket asap and if i see another play ill deposit
i really like doing this compared to keeping an online roll and feeling pressured to bet and make money everyday
key to sports is super patience 1-3 plays per week max! bet more on fewer games
sports plays range $100-$500 for me

I do this cause I love this I watch every game with no regrets of the time I spent on this sports gambling.... Im fked up tho In a way I don't want to go out or do much just watch and cap games ... Hell with the parties, the nonsense bars ,the btches , ect .. its just sports all year, I take some time off in the summer to go on a vac nd fishing but other then that its all about football and basketball...Noone twist my arm or forces me I just love this cjit always did I don't hide it.. If you love what your doing man, then you cant compare it to anything...You have to be prepared to lose and when you lose you cant be stressed and say " Man this gambling sucks, You cant win at this, these games are rigged, ect" If you are saying that then this isn't for you...Don't place big bets till you have absolutely no regrets!!! I have won many big bets and lost many big bets, there was only 3 cases in which I said I honestly looked this over many times and didn't see this outcome, but NEVER regretted placing the bet . Never look at this for just the money, You gotta want this bad and, put countless hours in cause you want to, not cause you have to bottom line... The Successful Cappers in this forum and other forums all put the time in this game... Remember tomorrow is another day waite for your chance to strike, you cant chase forever , you will fall hard... Look at this as a decent income , rather then a multi million dollar job.. If you like what your doing and make a few bucks doing it then its Priceless...... I wish you all nothing but the best in your gambling endeavors and, hope you find peace and happiness !!!!
That my friends is Real Talk...... stay well Fellas

Yes, that what gambling is about. Your bookmaker however is not "scared" when he is taking bets ... every bet you and other customers place make him earn easy 10% from each risked amount, regardless of the outcome.
Clearly being the "house" is far better than being a gambler with anxiety and such, but if you ask me it's much better to not get involved with this at all. It's just full of dishonest things etc.

That's fine. I don't know where you bet or how you're allowed to bet $20,000 on a sports event, but personally I wouldn't do it.

I actually like this forum much more than SBR, it has people with brains, unlike SBR where everyone there just like to bash topics like this.
The lady in the casino who told you that you need a very big heavy loss to stop is right ... usually that is one of the few things that make gamblers stop ... there could be other things but usually it's those losses who make us realize it's not worth it.
Regarding casinos controlling the games or knowing the results in advance - it could very possibly be true. When coaches don't want to "fight" anymore for the game they send all the rookies to play and score less than the total line ... why do they do it? why refs call fouls when it's clearly wrong? because they have full control of the event ... you can only wish you are on the right side ... same thing with Blackjack ...
There is no skill involved with sports betting. It's difficult to understand it.
I can have a 30-10 streak in a Roulette ... does it mean I have a skill to master it? No ... soon I would start picking 10-30 winners/losers and the thing is the 0/00 on the Roulette guarantees the house has a 5% edge ... I even saw some Roulettes without this edge, without 0/00 - they also exist because they know that gamblers would be so addictive so even with 0% juice (vig/takeover) - they would still make money!

No ... soon I would start picking 10-30 winners/losers and the thing is the 0/00 on the Roulette guarantees the house has a 5% edge ... I even saw some Roulettes without this edge, without 0/00 - they also exist because they know that gamblers would be so addictive so even with 0% juice (vig/takeover) - they would still make money!
Look at this as a decent income , rather then a multi million dollar job.. If you like what your doing and make a few bucks doing it then its Priceless
I'm sorry but a decent income would be having a blog about sports betting, posting your picks and making money from advertising ... that is a decent income because you are guaranteed to make money without risking it.
Risking your money can never be regarded as a form of "income". How many people have thought like you but found themselves deep in the debt hole? How many people thought this could be a nice income - but turned out it was a nice income for the casino/bookmaker and not for them?
You can't call gambling a source of income, it's impossible. Perhaps shady people like Billy Walters really made fortunes out of gambling, perhaps ... but there are also people who won the lottery, hitting a $250,000,000 jackpot ... so yes, there could be a few lucky people .... but you are only looking at the winners.
How many people have lost their houses because of gambling? How many have gambled beyond their means?
You can't say that gambling is an activity that you can control ... most people don't control it, it's a fact, and this fact helps casinos and bookmakers make more money than ever.
Read the very long post above of that guy who said what he thinks about all this - I think he's expressing the truth more than anything else.

Yeah figures I ran 0 to 2300 started with okc -5 for 300 then couldn't get off the live bets +5 for 300 then +12 for 600.....lost half my roll because I just kept thinking they would come back...-1400. Took me 2 months to build now half gone in 2hrs haha. Was very consistent until a couple of drinks

i bet for fun.. 50-100$.. Recently I have placed 2500$ on the heat to beat Nets in the series... I can honestly say I wish i never got into betting because I could be doing better things.. Yes, ive made a little money but that doesnt compare to the stress, dreaming of the bad beats etc. Also, im a horrible at managing my money.
i totally understand.

on sports my max bet is $1000 per bet. I have won $2000 on a game. taking over first half and over game. i generally bet $300-$500 per bet.
on blackjack i start at $50 and press to get on a roll. I try to build up the table limit. So I have no problem placing several hundred dollars on a blackjack table.

So you're up 100 units of $50 which is $5,000. Very nice.
I was up $20,000 betting in similar patterns like you ... I lost it all, and no, I didn't chase ... I treated gambling as something I wanted to analyze and pick the right ones ... always "waited" for the perfect moment ... didn't work for me.
Maybe it will work for you, but I can tell you winnings in gambling can never permanently last, it's a fact.
Good luck!
Yessir. That is why I have taken half of the winnings and put them in actual assets like bonds and mutual funds. I keep the other half as a free bank roll. I will continue to move that money if I am lucky enough to keep winning.
I could easily change my unit of play as 5% of 2500 is 125 but….nope. I am a 50 dollar player and that is that. Keeps me sleeping at night. I have had some bad days and weeks recently too but I have been pretty hot the last couple of weeks.
I was down about 1600 last year tho, so yeah….there are ups and downs. Mostly a lot of that money was lost in Baseball tho…and that is why I am staying away from that sport.

It's very normal with gambling. You can build up a fortune, making $50,000 but you would find yourself wasting it all in just a few hours.
That's why it's not a safe way to make money.
