I am reading some posts here and I've seen a few people picking Golden State tonight.
Golden State can win by 40 if they want, but I will personally never lay one cent on a team on a long losing streak playing extremely bad, disgusting, horrendous bad defense.
Let me tell you something about Golden State's defense.
The reason they are getting destroyed in their games is because they don't play defense.
They don't know that word. They don't know how to do it. They don't even try.
Their defense is so brutally atrocious (at least in their last 10 games), that when they play their games, their opponents are scoring +20.874 MORE than their average in their respective games/venues.
Warriors are allowing opponents to score 117.2 ppg in their last 10 games in regulation.
If you remove the Warriors game/score vs the opponents they have played, this is what you get.
In the last 10 games, Warriors have played:
at San Antonio - Spurs scored 123 points (Spurs average 91.5 ppg at home excluding the Warrior game)
at Houston - Houston scored 132 points (Houston average 92.88 ppg at home excluding Warrior game)
vs Miami - 115 points in regulation (94.40 ppg on the road)
at New York - 138 points (106.8 ppg at home)
at Cleveland - 112 points (107.0 ppg at home)
at Boston - 119 points (99.42 ppg at home)
at Washington - 124 points (94.44 ppg at home)
at Philadelphia - 89 points FREAK-OF-NATURE ONCE IN A LIFETIME EXPERIENCE (88.55 ppg at home)
vs Chicago - 115 points (93.20 ppg on the road)
vs Portland - 106 points (95.07 ppg on the road)
117.2 ppg allowed to these opponents - 96.33 ppg average for opponents = +20.87 ppg
Oklahoma is one of the worst scoring home teams in the NBA scoring 89.3 ppg.
With this average, they should score about 111 points against Warriors.
Will that be enough to beat Warriors tonight? Who knows.
But I wouldn't even consider playing Warriors right now.
