Damn, my lakers lost tonight... and I pushed on my bet. But all in all, I'm happy from what I saw from the Nash-less lakers tonight. They played solid d, rotating and helping each other when needed, and played like a team the whole night. EVEN KOBE WAS PASSING the ball. Is the world coming to an end?? hahaha. But seriously, the lakers lost this game because of turnovers. They had 17 to the spurs 8. That will not get it done against a seasoned and title contending spurs squad.
After seeing tonight's game, I'd say the lakers have a serious shot at winning the title this year. They are the most talented and complete team (if there bench plays the way they should) in the league, and if things "click" and the connection between the team grows as there combined talents mesh together, I see them as a very powerful force that will be hard to stop. With this tough-nose defense they played tonight (minus the d on green on the last shot) and d'antoni's new offense, I see this team making it the finals. Again, I am a laker fan and from SoCal so you know I'm going to be a little bit biased haha. Call me a homer if you want, but i don't care, I believe the Lakers will make the finals and have a great shot of unveiling a 17th championship banner at staples center next year.
