If there ever was a time when the well dries up, this has to be a perfect spot.
I am always considering things like that, always trying to anticipate the unexpected possibilities. As I mentioned in the post above to guiltyascharged, I have been guilty as charged of trying to break the Heat's "off a loss" streak the last three times they've followed a loss, and of course I've gotten punished for it each time, taking 7.5 with the Pacers in Game 7 and losing 99-76, taking the Spurs on the moneyline in Game 2 and losing 103-84, and finally, the most regrettable bet of all, my ridiculously huge bet on the Spurs +2 and ML +110 in Game 4. So it is with tongue-in-cheek (sort of) that I created this thread. It is my surrender to the Heat's dominating trend, a trend I cannot seem to defeat. I see no reason why the trend won't work again tonight, but I am mindful, too, that maybe this is finally the spot where the Heat can't bounce back off a loss. But I don't want to see that happen because I'm really hoping this trend stays strong just one more time, but not solely for the sake of my unwanted Heat series that I still haven't gotten rid of, but moreso so I can make up for my Game 4 mistake by placing an even bigger bet on the Spurs moneyline in Game 7. I am convinced that if the Heat win by 10+ tonight, the Spurs will win the championship on Thursday night. Spurs off a double-digit loss with rest. That's the nuts.
