Is Kyrie for Dinwiddie a big upgrade ?

I'm surprised the Mavs gave so much. I don't even think Kyrie for Dinwiddie is that big of a step up and the Mavs gave way more than just Dinwiddie

think of it this way, they had 0% chance to win the west before the trade, and now it's probably 10%....

I see a similarity path between lakers and Dallas with conventional wisdom, keep adding star players at expense of role players.  You then only hope it will work out as time will tell.

Absolutely a big upgrade. Kyrie is a proven super star in the playoffs.  He can get his own shot at take over a game in the biggest moments. We know what Luka can do in the playoffs.

Brooklyn won that trade BIG time. Dinwiddie is an unselfish guy, perfect to line up with Luka. Kyrie is not the sharpshooter kinda guy to get open and receive assists from Luka. He is a a ball hog. Once you sum up all the off court bs associated to the diva Irving it is clear that this shit wont work for Dallas.

 This is about the playoffs. Dinwiddie is a nobody come playoffs. Teams will clamp down and play defense for the full 48 minutes. Game becomes a half court game. U will see 100-93 type scores.  Lots of fake superstars in the regular season but come playoffs they disappear.  Not Kyrie.  Of course Luka and Kyrie have to mesh chemistry wise but that’s a potent 1-2 punch in the playoffs. Dallas has had problems when Luka is on the bench offensively. Kyrie solves that problem.  They also have Christian Wood. 

Luka n kyrie will be legit 1-2 combo come playoffs time, they just need a good big man to grab rebounds for both 

I think the league wanna see luka shine, he’s gonna be next MJ or Kobe , just need a ring to prove that

playoffs is totally different, you will see stars like Tatum n derozan etc disappear and choke 

Tatum is every bit the player that Irving is/was, without all the drama.  Kyrie is nothing but a cancer to any team he plays on now.   He puts his wants and needs above the team.  He's lost his drive to win another championship.  The Mavs blew it.  They gave up way to much for this chump.

Kyrie probably fit well if they have a crafty coach the like of Phil Jackson whom understand how to manage personality and make it works.

People are actually hilarious. Kyrie refused to get vaxxed and spoke out against the media and they think he isn’t good. Mavs titles odds got slashed in half. So yea big deal..

Not sure what you have been watching Dave.

Kyrie averaged 27.1 last year during the regular season. His playoff average last year was 21.3. He was AWFUL in the playoffs last year.

Pretty much the same since he left LeBron- LeBron carried him.

Kyrie has yet to hit his series average in ANY series since he left Cleveland.

What did the nets win with Kyrie? ( crickets )

Funny how standing for what u believe in makes u cancer and toxic. Don’t agree with everything kyrie says or does but bottom line the dude can play. All those unnecessary things they made him do finally bites them back. 

Maybe Nets just a crap organization? Never really won anything even when they had big names playing together? I’m pretty sure they had Kidd, Kenyon Martin, Jefferson and Mutumbo at 1 point. Even Vince Carter.

Not sure why everyone is getting all riled up..This trade was about freeing up cap space for next season.....Dallas was not winning it this year with Dinwiddie and Finely-Smith but with Kyrie they have a much better chance......they are good role players and thats about it..Dallas gave up 2nd round picks and a 2029 1st which is so far away..  If it doesn't work out with Kyrie this year...He is off their books...Dinwiddie makes $18 Million and Finely Smith makes about $13 million and both were under contract for next season...So either the Mavs re-sign Kyrie to a max or they will have max cap space to sign someone else but the kicker is they can sign another max player next season and then go over the cap to re-sign Kyrie..  So it works out better for the Mavs for their future to build around Luka...

 Stu most of the kyrie bashing on here like in the media is personal. Yes he marches to beat of his own drummer, heck he marches to his own band, this does not diminish his talent or make him some team cancer or bad guy. Players know this and every contending team would love to him.We need to stop letting the media think for us and ask what has this guy really done that makes him public enemy number one. he treats the game like a business and so he should cause that is how the owners go about it. Owners dont give a rats ass about the players. So when a guy like Kyrie breaks ranks and thinks for himself and expresses his opinions the media which does the bidding of the elite have a field day. 
When healthy go ahead and honestly name a point guard not named Curry that is better than him.

Next time he feels the need to publicly praise Hitler, he will have to step up his antisemitism game and likely will have the opinion that a lot of good came out of the Holocaust and that humanity is better off because of it...it'll all be part of a movie which he has associated producer credits to...when the shiit hits the fan yet again with this malignancy riddled moron who has never accomplished anything on his own professionally that wasn't spoonfed for him by Lebron, maybe this time people will actually see him for what he really is and do what is right and black list him out of the NBA...

If I wasn't making money hand over fist betting on this league with respect to futures and the random live ingame wager when it's an automatic bet for me based on my +EV requirements, I'd be done following this sport altogether,,,but I like money too much so I'm a small cog in this Hypocrisy wheel called the NBA.
