If this kid had played in the playoffs he would&#x27;ve been under 10 points a game without a doubt.  His assist to turnover ratio is horrible and the only reason he made a name for himself is because he is Asian and he scored points in the REGULAR SEASON, when nobody and their mom plays even a shred of defense.  If this kid didn&#x27;t sell jerseys (which I don&#x27;t know who in their right mind would fork over $80 for his jersey) he wouldn&#x27;t be getting over a million a year, and the fucking Rockets offer him $28 million contract.  There was a reason he kept getting cut from teams, I guarantee he will be back to riding the pine next season now that other teams have tape of him.  He cannot create his own shot to save his life and takes away touches from Melo and Amare.  With Jason Kidd coming in I hope this kid never sees the court.

It&#x27;s ridiculous, just another reason I hate ESPN and don&#x27;t even watch Sportscenter anymore (I do watch all of the actual games they have on).  Not to mention all of their blowhard talking heads, i.e. Skip Bayless, Stephen A, Kornheiser, Wilbon, etc.  The only people I listen to for basketball are Sir Charles, Kenny the Jet, Ernie and Shaq.  They call it like they see it and don&#x27;t overhype players who don&#x27;t deserve it.  Not to mention ESPN had a hand in running off the best football coach in Texas Tech history, what a shameful network.

Ya he actually ran in the Republican Senate primary here and had a 96% disapproval rating.  People want to kill him in West Texas he has single handedly ruined two football programs in his life and Leach should&#x27;ve known not to give his son Nancy a scholarship.  Not even New Mexico State wanted to let that self-entitled cancer on their football team and for whatever reason Leach gave him a chance and paid for it with his career.  It truly sickens me what him and his father did to our program.

Lin is overrated, I had talked about this earlier in the season when all the hype was going on. Some cats called said I was hating, I found that funny. You have to love ESPN, because they were showing so much footage of this guy that they were exposing his weakness. He cant go to his left, MIA seemed to have caught that when they played them, they put him in his place. Hey the NBA is a big business, NY is a big media market, I wont go as far as to say he is garbage, YET, LOL, but he is way overrated. This season will definitely be the test. Oh by the way, I agree with you about ESPN, I was just pointing out how much the media blew this guy up. Cant wait for the season to start.

Over rated but he was huge for the Knicks in his magical run. I was scratching my head when no one is talking about how well the Knicks went about with their Defense in those game and isntead poured all the glory over Lin.

Nobody even went on to say how good Jared Jeffries were on that span (didn't really reflect the stat sheet but was all over the intangibles).

There&#x27;s a reason he didn&#x27;t play against Miami in the playoffs even though he was healthy, their coach knew they were much better defensively and offensively without him.  Only reason he gets the contract he does is because he sells jerseys to Asian people, enough said.

[/Quote]During the Linsanity time, Jared Jeffries wasn&#x27;t the only player that went nuts.  Novak was on fire and people starting to notice his sharp shooting skills.  Even the pathetic LField&#x27;s number went up.  TChandler started to show offense too.  JLin showed that the Knicks needed a PG that could create plays.JLin brings fan to seats for every team that plays against the Knicks.  JLin brought in some serious profits for NYKnicks.  Now, NYKnicks shouldn&#x27;t have to worry about paying luxury tax because JLin can get that covered!

Knicks gained nothing from losing Lin other than PR revenue.  Knicks made their money last year with Linsanity.  JLin is great for small market teams that can&#x27;t fill up seats.  This is purely a PR move by Houston and they have been looking for the player that can draw money in.  Did you know that Yao Ming help Houston make more money in one year than the back2back championships they had?  NBA is all business these days.  It&#x27;s losing it&#x27;s true meaning.  Heat didn&#x27;t make money last year despite them winning the championship.  Something needs to be done with players and high salaries.  There&#x27;s so much greed now.  I loved every minute of watching Chicago gave all of this money away to DRose and watch him go down.  Pretty much Chicago bank collapse with him!  This offseason, Chicago wasn&#x27;t able to do shit to retain anyone.  GOOD!

If you know how basketball is being played and how it works, you will see the value of Lin.... The way he performed and played the game, the kid has lots of potential to become a superstar with proper guidance and mentoring.... He has high basketball IQ, unselfish and plays simple but effective basketball.  The offer of the rockets maybe to high but the kid has potential and you should take a gamble and i would say its worth the risk....

Lin did very well during his time in New York. How is he overrated? Stats don't lie... he was only a rookie and will get better.. he seems like a very humble guy.

NYKnicks suck. they always make bad decisions.. Not matching will hurt them. Melo can score but plays no D. Amare needs the pick and roll.. They have drunk old man Kidd.. Can't believe they got Felton who sucked in Portland.

Best all time move was signing Eddy Curry (6 yr, 60 mill).. lol. good grief. Marbury is nothing to brag about either.

Lol laughable.  I played basketball throughout high school and summer AAU ball, all Central Texas team.  I definitely know how basketball is played and how it works and I see no value in Lin other than him being ASIAN and SELLING JERSEYS.  High basketball IQ doesn&#x27;t mean shit in the NBA when you don&#x27;t have the skill set for your position.  Proper guidance and mentoring won&#x27;t help him.  He is not a point guard in the NBA, he had the highest A/TO ratio on the pick and roll in the league, and cannot defend to save his life.  His sample size of 17 games is way to small to say he can become a superstar.  Once teams had tape of him they shut him down.  Let me say this again, if he was NOT ASIAN this would be a non-issue and he&#x27;d be playing for one million a year tops.  This kid deserves to ride the pine not be playing for 7 million a year.  Asians love this guy because he is one of their own, but step aside from that like the rest of the world and you&#x27;ll see he&#x27;s not even close to in the same class of a player as a Kevin Martin type.
