How can you compare the two?

Different type of players.

Kareem or Hakeem, I'd go with Kareem.

Kareem or Shaq as actors, both are bad but I'd go with Kareem.

I highly doubt that sky hooks would have been as efficient as Shaq pummeling through Kareem for a slam through dunk or running past him on the break for a Shaq slam.

You mean Shaq getting charging fouls almost every play. Or even better yet Shaq going to the foul line.

That would of been great comic relief. Bottom line Shaq may of been dominate for a few years but that was it.  Very short time line of greatness

Again you are missing the point. It doesn't matter how short Shaq's greatness was, all that matters is that his greatness was greater than Kareem's by a long shot. The only way to stop Shaq is to foul him. So how is Kareem going to stay in this hypothetical game for Sky Hooks over Shaq if he is on the bench with constant foul trouble? Hmmm..... Hmmmmm... Hmmmmm.... Hmmmmmm

I'm guessing you have never ever seen Kareem play have you ? And if you can stop someone by fouling them and they can't make a FT, then they are not that great. And every single team made sure the fouls were spread around so no one was in foul trouble.  You did watch Shaq play right ?????

If you look at Shaq's MVP season in 99-00, which obviously you never watched, he hit close to 60% of his free throws, which were quite often. Obviously that sucks, but its far away from not making a free throw as you so claim. And another one of your claims about no one being in foul trouble. Bull shit. If you were guarding Shaq, you had two options and TWO OPTIONS ONLY. 1: Get scored on. 2: Foul him. That's all. There was no defense on Shaq.

Two totally different type players & hard to compare different eras. Shaq much more dominant with his size/strength, D & rebounding vs probably the best offensive center of all time along with Wilt. Wilt was so much bigger & stronger than the guys he played against most of his yrs (similar to Shaq) & didn't play nearly as strong/physical as Shaq, but was still more talented. Russell probably the best defensively & Olajuwon the best all-around - O, D, blocked shots, even steals. For their eras, wouldn't rank Shaq in the top 3 even in his prime - Wilt, Russell & Hakeem with maybe him & Jabbar tied for 4th.
