hard to imagine anyone wanting to play for the Clippers instead of the Lakers but we will see .. I think signing with the Raptors makes the most sense for Leonard considering he is currently considered a God in Toronto and he just won a championship seems kinda silly to leave after that .. but if Kawhi does sign with the Lakers everyone must admit that will be a game changer for Los Angeles .. not so much because of an aging LeBron but more because you have a young Davis teamed up with Kawhi who is still in his prime .. Lakers currently at 3 to 1 to win the Championship has zero value .. Lakers at 3 to 1 with signing Kawhi has some value if they can stay healthy

Don't forget to mention the natural regression D-Russell will experience when he's 3rd fiddle and Lebron's scapegoat.  He'll shut down faster than a theater that shows Space Jam 2

James says he doesn't care who get credit and will defer to Kawhi and Davis. He will be the third wheel, and tailor his talent around theirs.

Lakers won’t sign Russell, can’t see even a plug like Pelinka being that stupid.  If they are smart take that money and split it up over 2-3 players.  It would shock me if Leonard signed with them.

I'd love to see him stay in Toronto of course but totally understand if he goes to LA.

Kawhi got traded to our team and did his job.  Didn't bitch or complain once about being here.  Played his ass off when it mattered the most and delivered our city a title.

I still think he's got a legit chance to run it back again and win another one.  This is pretty much the final year for this current roster before blow it up and retool for the future some years away.  That being said, health is a big concern and it's hard not want that max money now in a destination you want to be in long term.

In any case, should make for some fun NBA news in the next few days!

No Kawhi for the Lakers, which would have obviously made them a super team.  It decimates the team, let's be honest.

But...huge pickup in Green who can shoot quick 3's, since they have an inside presence in Davis and a driver in James.  These guys won't overlap, that's for sure.

Lakers are one-year-and-done, long term their prospects are bad.  They have one year-LeBron will turn 35, then they hand over a ton of draft picks to the Pelicans.  And Davis will go free agent year 1.

which is not a bad 5, fellas.  is it.

But then comes the bench...what do they have. paint_help

and of course an injury to one of guys can have a major impact.

Bench:Cousins, Dudley, Pope, Cook, McGee, Daniels, Caruso, Williams. I think I might like to see Cook start over Rondo. McGee, Pope, Dudley are solid defenders. Cousins is a real wildcard!

FK Kawhi and George! Can't wait to see them get hammered by James and Davis!

This is basically the Pelicans 2017-2018 team...AD/Cousins/Rondo w/an aging LBJ who'd does not play defense....

From what I recall both George and Kawhi have missed whole seasons due to their fragile egos, I mean bodies!
