Nowhere did I say the Cavs were better than Boston or would beat Boston. Do a search and please post if I ever said that. I am a fan and was rooting for them to win. That was it.

And in my thread The Pistons Will Beat Boston I stated when it was 2-2 that Boston was the better team. Go ahead and look that one up too.

So check your facts before you post bullshit junior.

Boston has NO bench.  Lakers will run them out of the building.  Lakers faced much harder competion these playoffs.  Utah was the toughest team they faced because of Deron Williams.  Celtics have no pointguard.   Thats the key to this series.

Stern and his cronies got what they wanted.....EVERYONE is yapping about this series, where no one has given a damn about the NBA Finals in a long, long, long time----like since Jordan vs Barkley in '93.

Not in this year's playoffs, they don't.  Every underdog has been eliminated through the first three rounds.  That's a big 0-14 for NBA underdogs in gambling America.

He might be done with school it is june so he may be lucky and get to watch it,but word around the sandbox is after a couple oreo's and a glass a milk the kid can't make it past 9:30.

And who the hell is the Lakers point guard? Give me Rondo over Fisher every time.

I think the Lakers win though, but it is ALL because of Kobe. It has nothing to do with either teams point guard.

What the fuck are you talking about dude? I never changed my stance on who would win, or who I thought was the better team, and guess what, I still haven't. I still think the Pistons were the best team in the NBA this season, and that will never change.

At first I was cheering for Boston in this series because1) they are representing the East and 2) I can't stand Laker fans and they would be at an all time annoyance level if they win the title, but now I am starting to realize Celtic fans are just as annoying.

Is there any way both these teams can lose so we don't have to put up with all these stupid fans?

Seems like the public is all over Lakers to win series.  Therefore, Vegas wants Boston to win.
 
Stern and his cronies want 7 games........desperately........with tons of drama.
 
Those are 2 key points to consider when betting this series.

Seahawk, how do you think the series will unfold if the Lakers are to win in 6.
 
With the 2,3,2 format do you think the teams split the 1st 2, the Lakers win 2 of 3 at home and then come back to Boston and win game 6.
 
Both teams have grat home records and that would mean 3 losses for home teams.
 
Just curious on what people think of home court or does it really matter at this stage..

They can stop Kobe. but with the Lakers its pick your poinson, Kobe or the rest of the Lakers. Almost impossible to stop both

From a gambling standpoint I guess I'm wondering why the Lakers all of a sudden will beat the Celtics in 5 or 6 when they have yet to prove they can beat them once, 0-2 this season.

Now the Western Conference may be the better conference, or is for arguments sake, but the Lakers went 9-7 vs Western Conference playoff teams (regular season) while the Celtics went 12-4 vs those same teams.

I think the Celtics may take the same approach as San Antonio in which they gave up the outside jumper to Kobe instead of a drive and dish or dunk. The alarming stat in the San Antonio series for LA is Kobe only got to the line 11 times, 10-11 (the entire series ). If I were backing the Lakers I would want him to the free throw line at least 10 times/game because he is a good free throw shooter and they are free points. I also think if the Lakers get down big like they did to the Spurs they won't get back into the game. Boston's D is much better than San Antonio's.

No offense but I have to disagree with a lot of the things you said there. First off the Lakers didn't have Pau when boston beat them twice this year. And that was the regular season. You really can't go by stats during the regular season because it all depends when teams catch each other, who is on a long road trip, etc etc. Theres a lot of factors during the regular season that factor into a team winning a game. Anyone can really win during the regular season.

As for the Lakers getting down big to the Celtics in any of these games, I just don't think the Celtics have shown a good enough offense to get a large lead on the Lakers. The Lakers offense has been very very fluid since they got Gasol, and those 2 games they got down big to the Spurs, If you rewatch, the Spurs hit about every single shot they threw up. at one stretch hitting 4 straight 3 pointers to stretch that lead. Once those crazy shots stopped going down the Lakers easily got back into the game and took the lead. If KG decides he wants to take over this series, I think the Celtics have a good shot at winning, but he never seems to want to do that so you cant' count on him. just my opinion

Of course I'm going to use stats from this year head to head. The Lakers have yet to play a team that (is completely healthy) that plays defense. Why do you think they were 0-2 vs Boston this year?
When Gasol played against the Celtics this year he was a stellar 3-13 with 12 points. Again it doesn't make him the 2nd coming.

If I can't go by the regular season then how can Laker fans think they can beat Boston at home? They are 8-1 in the playoffs. Are gamblers lining up on LA forgetting their team is mostly from Europe and don't have any major playoff experience?

The Celtics can go up on LA. Don't be fooled that they can't. Both Detroit and Cleveland play serious D and the Lakers have yet to see that type of intensity.
The Celtics employ a bunch of Norther Californians and I know there would be nothing better for them than to crush the Lakers. Ask any Golden State fan or Giants fan.
