Lets take over this thread and change topic. I know you like the Spurs tomorrow but I like OKC. OKC played well for most of the game and their length gave the Spurs a lot of trouble. They blew the 4th Q forcing too many tough shots and I dont expect that to happen again. Yes I know the Spurs had a lot of turnovers in the 1st half but that was due to OKC and their length. Perkins got into foul trouble early in the game and the Spurs were able to capitalize when OKC were playing small.

Ok, since I'm up and bored, I will throw my 2 cents in. Lebron is a better ATHLETE than Jordan. He is the best athlete I have ever seen, in any sport. However, to say he is a better OVERALL PLAYER than Jordan is just Twilight Zone.
When talking about the best overall players, you must take into account not only athleticism and stats, but rings, along with a few intangibles such as the ability to make players around you better (which Lebron has to an extent) and the most important, clutchness.
First of all, rings(legacy). Jordan didn't win his first until age 28. He started off as pretty much a spectular scorer who didn't really make his teammates better. For the most part, they just stood around and watched him early on in his career. Check out a John Paxson quote from Jordan's infamous 63-point game in the playoffs at the Garden - he actually says this very thing, and it was a loss in double OT. The thing that separates Jordan from Lebron is that instead of calling up the best players and plotting to get on the same team together, he accepted that he had to do a better job of making his teammates better, and had the competitive drive to want to play AGAINST the best players. Bird and Magic (to name just a few greats) say this same thing. They would have never wanted to play with each other, because knowing they led their teams against the best competition successfully was part of what drove them. Lebron's solution? Get with arguaby the second best player (Wade) and another superstar (Bosh) to win a championship that he failed to deliver on by simply leading his own team. And don't tell me those Cleveland teams didn't have talent. They had the best regular season record at least twice when Lebron was there. And also do not compare it to the Boston's Big Three, who all had plenty of years leading their own teams prior to coming together in 2007. They were all 3 past 30 and wanted to win, and paid their dues IMO, but that's for a different discussion. Lebron, at age 26 (just entering his prime), decided to team up with 2 other superstar players, and after putting on a public spectacle about how many championships they were going to win together (I believe 7), was a complete and total no-show in the Finals when in matterered most, and let Dirk Nowitzki (who until that point had the "soft" label) totally take his heart.
This leads me to the second intangible of a superstar player, clutchness. In fairness, Lebron has had his clutch moments, but last year's Finals no-show looms largest. I have no doubt that he will get his ring(s), but in exercising his right to team up with the best players in the league rather than leading one on his own he has forever tarnished his legacy. Circumstances can of course change, as he is only 27, but as of right now this is how it stands.
My 2 cents.

Thnx for sharing, but i simply do not agree. Michael is not better than Lebron, just because u have rings it doesnt make u a better player, and as u said he got his first ring in the late twenties, lebron has still got plenty of time...

Game on the line I would take Jordan anyday. He wants the ball in the end. Lebron goes and hides! Lebron is good but to say he is better than Jordan I don't see it.
Just my opinion!

No youre the idiot. Vick was a freak athlete. He may not have been considered the best QB in the league but at some point he was def up there. Guy was fast as hell and almost impossible to set up a defensive game plan against him. His accuracy wasnt great but damn he could throw the long ball. Dude was taking his team to the playoffs with Algae Crumpler as his go to guy.

I will be laughing at all the haters when Lebron has 9 rings in 10 years, what will your excuse be at that time? You haters will probably be saying "but he doesnt have 10"!!! He is horrible!"
In order to get "9 rings in 10 years"......YOU HAVE TO WIN 1 FIRST!!!! Funny................

Lmfao at all these 12 year olds digging Michael jordan because of some highlights on youtube, they obviously havent watched basketball. If you know about basketball, you would know that Lebron is 1000x better than this little kid, he would outschool him everyday, look at Lebrons tools, he has NOTHING, and when michael jordan played it was horrible players besides him, they didnt even play defense back then LOL. Tell me, what kinda team do LeBron have? He has; Dwyayne "i cant step up" wade, and he has an injured Chris bosh, and the most horrible bench without any depth, yet the manages pulls through like a real leader should, even his coach is calling horrible calls, and Miamis defense is horrible without LeBron.
There is no-way in your incoherent rambling you can ever be serious stating MJ is better than LeBron, you are so pathetic if you compare these 2, LeBron is OUTSTANDING, and he is on a totally different level than MJ is. LeBron is probably the best athlete to ever have lived when you look overall in all sports. Lmfao at these kids, MJ looks like he doesnt know what a basketball is when you compare him to king lebron.
The only chance for us (Boston Celtics) to win the finals is if Lebron gets injured or if LeBron has to do the job on his own, because Miami has a horrible horrible team besides LeBron. Tbh, without LeBron James the Miami Heat is the worst team in NBA history if wade doesnt show up.
LeBron > MJ - BY FAR
shut up
