Thought about this the last few hours. Dubs found something with the high pick and roll with Curry against the Celtic bigs.
Robert Williams is hurting and barely able to move up and down the court. His defense in the paint is huge for the Celts defensive success. I can’t imagine he will be able to go much longer or be effective as the series goes on.
1-1 series. All the pressure in the world was on the Warriors in game 2 to not go down 0-2. That monkey is now off their back. I expect them to play looser with all the pressure now back on the home team who has struggled at home.
This is the best chance the Warriors have at taking a game in Boston between games 3 and 4.
defense, defense, defense. Warriors defended like madmen. I expect that to carry over into game 3.
I’ve got the Warriors +4 b.5

thats what the sportsbook wanna see , a blowout win by the warriors and even the series 1-1, remember gsw still the public team , public perception believe now they have a chance to come back
the truth is Boston didn’t care about game 2, they will finish their job game 3 and 4, you will definitely see a different Boston team, with the line being -3.5 is a gift for game 3
good luck either way

I think you're spot on, ACTIONmagnet. The pick and roll was beautiful. The celtics will adjust and Curry will get it to the correct read. Gary Payton is a factor. And Klay will have at least a mildly better game.
There was a little bit of a lay down on Boston's part. Game three should be a war.

They laid down because they saw which way the officiating winds were blowing. People don’t talk about this nearly enough but sometimes the refs don’t even have to do anything crazy or over the top for the opposing team to know it’s not going to be their night. The way the refs were officiating the game last night made it clear to the Celtics that it was not going to be their night, so the Celtics packed it in after halftime. Why do you think a coach who never gets a technical picked up a t? Why do you think he took his starters out with almost 11 minutes left in a Finals game? It’s not exactly “rigged” but the players and coaches know it will be an uphill climb all night and they’d rather save their bullets for another day.

I wrote about this when the injury happened and do you recall the grief I got from the peanut gallery at Covers?! They ridiculed me for suggesting that GP 2 was essential for the Warriors title hopes. This kid is a game changer. He is smart, tough, athletic, unafraid of the moment and has a knack for being in the right place at the right time. He gives them what Iggy can’t anymore. He is one of their top 5 players when it comes to closing a game. It’s Curry, Green, GP 2, Wiggins and either Klay, Porter or Poole.

This is 110% spot on accurate. Scary actually. Game 3 or 4 that advantage will swing towards the C's. Just not sure which one.

What exactly do you mean by, "The way the refs were officiating the game..."?
What, like not letting the Celtics foul repeatedly while still somehow magically putting them on the line more like they have all playoffs? Or was there something else?
And you can't say, "...a coach who never gets a technical..." about a guy in his first year. It's not like the average NBA coach is just getting multiple techs in any given season. Five years from now he may be known as a coach that always gets a technical.

Stu, I love you man. I just don’t have the time to share all the information I consume about these games. I wish I did. I’m giving you the gist of what I have read, listened to and seen in the last 24 hours. This includes post game comments and interviews with players and coaches. Expert analysis by journalists sitting at the game and articles and podcasts about the game. Trust me when I say, except for Warriors homers like us, the officiating was a “thing” yesterday. The fact that Draymond was not ejected for his antics should tell you all you need to know.

you must have had your eyes closed in the first quarter when the celtics went up 10. Every play after that resulted in a celtic foul until the dubs caught up lol

First of all game one was a fluke my God both teams shot lights out three pointers combined for watt 42 or 43. I don’t think any team has ever made eight three-pointers in a row especially to start the fourth quarter. If you watch the game the refs were all in favor of the Celtics the Warriors did not fucking get one call at all not fucking one. Game two was more realistic warriors only shot 44% which is about normal they clamp down on defense which they can And they beat them down by more than 20 points. Yes Boston will play better they only shot 38% but this time the Warriors will beat them by 20 they’ll still beat them probably by 8 to 10 mark my words Boston is not as good as everybody thinks in the Warriors are

Guys like to say it's "a thing" but never have any substance to back it up. The Celtic were whistled for one more foul than the Warriors. The Warriors shit three more free throws. There's no substance to back up such claims. Then those people will say, "Well, it's all about the timing... The flow of the game..." which is all just about cop out. This isn't football. It's NBA basketball. Unless an egregious call is made in the last 6 minutes of the 4th quarter, the whole "...timing... ...flow of the game..." are just tropes used by people who want to complain about the officiating yet lack statistical data, or specific noteworthy calls to complain about.

Yeah, because everybody knows NBA games are won in the first quarter and a ten point lead, in the first quarter, is insurmountable and essentially game over. I mean, it couldn't have been the Celtic turnovers. It was the refs
Let's make a couple thing clear. The Celtic foul. A LOT. Historically any team known for "physical defense", remember we kept hearing about this "physical Celtics D", any team known for such a thing fouls. It's like the old adage in football, that there is holding on every play. And that the refs can influence a game by deciding when to call it. The thing that gets lost is, there is actually holding. It's not like they are calling something that isn't happening. The Celtics foul. They have gotten away with fouls all post season, and in most games still somehow ended up with the free throw advantage. In this game, when the smoke cleared, the Celtics were whistled for one more foul than the Warriors. Three more attempts and one more point off of free throws.
The Celtics lost this game because Al Horford and Derrick White came back to reality. Look it up. Jayleb Brown, who I love, followed him in college as a Cal homer, my family is from Boston, the Celtics are second team, I've followed his entire pro career, is inconsistent. Look it up. Time Lord was hurt. I love Grant but he isn't the rim protector that Time Lord is, who is taller, longer, and more athletic. The Warriors had 40 points in the paint. The Celtics had 19 turnovers to the Warriors 12. Good luck beating the Warriors when they commit less than 15 turnovers.

So predictable. "I can't back up my claims with actual data or noteworthy plays so I'll say it's the timing."
This is NBA basketball. Unless a bad call is made in the last 5-6 minutes of the 4th quarter, that "timing" b.s. goes out the window. The Celtics lost because they turned the ball over and gave up 40 in the paint. They're a completely different team when Time Lord plays. This ref talk is laughable.
