Even the shill reporters for ESPN, who are supposed to be pimping the league, are honest enough to describe what they’re seeing out on the court but some people in this Forum have their head so far up their anus that they can’t even see what’s right before their eyes. From ESPN:
The Boston Celtics needed to win Game 4 of the Eastern Conference finals to even this series at two games apiece.
So why did they -- and, in particular, Jayson Tatum -- come out so flat in the first half, an effort that helped doom them to a 112-109 loss to the Miami Heat and to a 3-1 deficit in the best-of-seven series?
Why indeed? And why have multiple other teams and players (including these very Celtics in the second of almost every game they have played)?

Exactly!
I’m starting to think the only people living in a “bubble” are some of the degenerates in this forum.

Real-time comments from a friend watching the game tonight: “Freaking Jimmy buckets tried to give the game away like three different times. These dudes are all so over bubble ball, they can hardly keep their heads up… Like you said, not what they signed up for. The dudes with the least going on in their actual lives are the ones who are going to stick around and collect rings, like LeBron” The same thing happened in the Clippers series. That’s why Hero looks like the second coming of Curry. Next year, when someone actually decides to d him up, he will go back to being a scrub.
Wait wasn't it Lebron who suggested to end the season after their players only meeting? Another foolish post and even still you continue to bet the NBA with this non sense theory bro just take the loss or don't bet.

First off. That’s not my quote. It’s from a friend. Second, LBJ was posturing when he voted the way he did. He was throwing his weight around and showing everyone he is the alpha. Not to be outdone by LBJ and the Lakers, the stupid Clippers fell for the posturing and revealed their hand by also voting to leave the bubble (in hindsight, that was the beginning of the end for them). It’s obvious that LBJ wants to win another title. Especially now that the path has been cleared for him. It would mean a lot to his legacy and the Lakers who lost Kobe this year. But he is still coasting on certain nights because of the bubble effect.

Twighlight zone, for sure. As far as 48 minutes of energy. The high school game is 32 minutes. College is 40 minutes. Pro 48 minutes. The pro game is 1.5 times longer than a high school game. Who has more energy? Labron or his children. 3:30 am: Turn off the video game and go to bed Little Brony. The high school game should be 48 minutes. The pro game should be 32.
That's my preface. The NBA has always been known as a second half game. I recall that 82-83 Great sixers team. They swept the Lakers-- won in the Forum. They were down at half most of the games. They just knew keep it reasonably close: we've got the better squad and we'll turn it up in the second half.

Great teams can turn it on! That’s for sure. They play to the level of their opponents until it’s time to go for the kill. You mention the 80’s Sixers and ditto for the Warriors the past 5 years (before this one of course). They were perhaps the greatest 3rd quarter team we’ve ever seen. But these Nuggets and Heat are not those team!! They are able to pull it off only because their opponents are lackadaisical.

I’m doing football now, for the most part. Last year I turned a 25$ free play into $5,000, in the NFL alone. Basketball was a complete loser for me. I haven’t changed, the games has. You could say I haven’t adapted, but look at a guy like Claw, with a proven track record, getting killed in the NBA. The NBA game has changed a lot the past few years. Motivation is getting harder and harder to gauge (at least for me) and because most of my capping is based on human psychology and motivation the NBA has become a minefield (I have written about this many times even before this year’s playoffs). I don’t like it. And I especially don’t like it when I see it happening during the playoffs. Maybe this motivational aspect is much worse or magnified because of the bubble, or maybe it’s a sign of things to come. Scal who used to love betting on the NBA saw the signs years ago before I did, and became strictly a college football and nfl capper (with some wwe and mma thrown in).

You are such a joke. Kid is what 20-21? Everyone on Heat want to win that’s why they are a game away from final, they play like a TEAM. You were so on Clips nutsac, outside of injury the Championship is theirs. Now they didn’t care?
Serious question can you try to explain your hatred for LeBron? Outside of the decision, why does he rent space in your head?

If you can’t see the lack of cohesion and focus by certain players and teams on certain nights I don’t know what to tell you. Yesterday the TNT crew called out the Lakers (except for Rondo) for showing up with no energy. AD gets 2 rebounds in a WCF playoff game!! The Rockets stopped trying in the Laker series after going down 1-2. The number of teams that have lost big leads and consequently the game is by far the most I have ever seen in the NBA playoffs. The number of sideline arguments and after the game arguments by players and teams is more than I ever recall during the playoffs. These guys are not happy campers (NBA players are not used to being controlled and monitored like this), and who would be in their situation, and their uneven, lackadaisical play is indicative of it. Months from now the truth about all the issues caused by life in the bubble, and how those issues impacted the attitude/mood of the players and ultimately the games themselves, will come out. For you people to deny the obvious is just absurd. No wonder a guy like Trump is able to pull the wool over people’s eyes. Critical thinking has left the building!
BB i was sort of with you until you pulled the Trump card out, obviously, you're having the wool pulled over your eyes by the crazy Dems and all their hyped COVID nonsense and BLM distraction, you lost credibility there brotha'

that is the reason why you have a huge and loyal following, those psychological write-ups. it hit different, regardless of the outcome, win or lose, it was a pleasure and such insight just reading your write ups alone. something that is greatly missed on covers. btw, not to go off topic, but you mentioned Scal, im assuming scalabrine? i understand that he is banned, does he have any other platforms he caps on (other than covers) or is that all she wrote?

Nah BB....NBA has not changed...you were just completely wrong about the Clippers...Saying they were one of the best team you have ever seen assembled....You compared Lou Williams to Klay Thompson............This clipper team had not won ANYTHING...yet you were calling them the one of the most stacked teams you have ever seen.... I told you in your post that PG13 has not done anything ever in the playoffs. Playoffs are a different animal....The cream rises to the top.. Some players got it and other don't. You whiffed on your assessment of the clippers...so now your scape goat is the Bubble and players do not want to be there.

I hate both parties but Trump is way more dangerous (IMO). And he is loathsome human being on top of it all. He is not a statesman, he can’t bring people together, he can’t console or give hope. He has zero compassion for anyone but himself. And he is unabashedly racist. How do you get behind that? I can’t. Which is why I’d vote for a senile old man with two brain cells left over that guy.

scripted theater claims everyone is an actor and outcome of ever game has been predetermined. I’m simply pointing out the fact that these teams are psychologically affected by the bubble and some are dealing with it better than others in terms of focus, motivation and energy. Big difference!
