Okay, so you're saying that IF it's true that the Lakers are lazy, then they'll want to wrap this series up as quickly as possible so they don't have to play extra games (because they're lazy).
I'm not buying that, sorry. If that were true, they wouldn't have allowed a crippled Rockets team to take them to a Game 7.
Big difference between getting up for team missing it's best player(s) in the 2nd round, and playing in the championship against a team (full-strength) that just knocked off the King and Co.

But your premise was that because they're lazy (or so everybody says), they're motivated to get things over with sooner rather than later. If that's true, what difference does it make what shape your opponent is in?

I just love the way statistics are thrown around, when everything is just how it should be, ask the media, ask the 11:00 news, ask anywhere, but all in all just ask me, and i'll tell you, that Orlando doesn't stand a chance in game 3. to me Kobe is this years MVP. but once again he get's robbed. now don't get me wrong, I love me some Lebron, but he gone fishin' and if D12 don't have the whistle on his side tonight, it reallly gone get Ugly! and if they do get lucky and pull this off, I only put 50€ on my boy KB24,here where i'm betting tonight, gotta have 3 plays on one ticket, so i'm taking LA, and hope that the state continues to bring fortune as I go with my boy Billingsly LAD, hope he a horse tonight, and last but not least, i'm gonna go on some of my old mojo, and roll with the Rockies, I really loved the time I lived in Colorado. see if my man Fowler can hook me up.

Bator you are the greatest. Just awesome stats and analysis.
Your pick and read of game 2 was spot on - the ML should have cashed as well.
After Kobe looked totally energized in game 1 he seemed lifeless in game 2 - several steps slower. I can't even remember him driving more than a few times and he never got totally to the hoop (but did get bailed out a few times). I always think of Kobe as a young body, but he has a lot of games on him at this point.
Do you think he has trouble recovering on a day's rest? I just don't see him coming out with energy and if he doesn't then the Lakers have little shot on the road.
I was thinking a big Orlando win here so I was going to lay the 4 at the better price than the 3.5. Do you think that 1/2 point is important here?

I think everyone can agree that an 11 point swing in the spread is ridiculous. Can only mean that Vegas wants to get as much Laker money as possible. Lakers+4 looks so much more inviting than Lakers +1.5. awesome right up and discussion. let's pray the Orlando Panic don't show up in the 4th.

Loaded up on the Magic immediately after Game 2, but it's fantastic to see you on them tonight.
There's three things I like most about this game:
1. The Lakers being the Lakers. They know how this league works. Tonight's a "league game."
2. Despite what the stat sheet might say, Dwight Howard had a horrific Game 2. Those 7 turnovers were huge. Each and every one of them. Not only did they prevent Magic points, but they lead to easy Laker points. I'm expecting a monstrous effort from the NBA's new superstar big man, minus the turnovers that were so disastrous in Game 2.
3. My favorite reason: the guard play. All the media has told us is that the Magic guards were horrific in Games 1 and 2. We know that. They know that. On thier home floor, I know these guards will respond. And seeing as how it's this team's achillies heel, the Magic should roll if their guards aren't gloriously fucking up. The absence of stifiling Laker defense should do wonders for the Magic's guard play.
