im sure as with everything there are a multitude of factors at play here...but the main, obvious, glaring one is simply lack of star power/name-brand players on display...have a look at the list of absent stars/superstars-lebron,AD,kawhi,steph,klay,durant,harden,kyrie,embiid,lillard,jokic and a few others.....that is a SHI.T-TONNE of guys to be missing out on watching and many of them are thrilling/exciting drawcards in terms of their style of play.
and then the biggest star in this series-giannis is just not a guy that people clamour to watch in terms of being watchable/compelling...incredible player but its like shaq or kareem..nobody is salivating at the prospect of seeing how they do what they do.
again, this aint the only reason by any stretch..but it might be 30%??of the reason for the drop.

There's a rock climber for sure. I want to say there is a hiker with a trekking pole but it might be one of those Mandela Effect things.

I don't watch much NBA because it's not really basketball to me, mostly because they don't enforce the basic rules. I much prefer the college game.

thats what i was getting at..alot of folk vividly remember using hiking man,burglar/robber and swordfish on standard phone emojis but they never existed..i dont have a phone so i got no dog in the fight but im absolutely fuggin flabbergasted that the v.w logo wasnt connected all the way through and that the A-team van wasnt all shiny black with the red stripe....oh and theres no way in hell it wasnt interview with A vampire..hehe...cheers.

KD destroyed the NBA when he joined the 73 win Warriors team. The nba was in such a prime spot for parity and building rivalries. But nope, he sold his soul and took the easy way out. The veteran stars in the nba are so unlikeable.

Definitely Interview with the Vampire. I have a first edition copy. The A-Team van was black and grey with a reddish orangish stripe, if I recall. I have a hot wheel somewhere, probably in a shoe box inside another box inside another box inside a the shed. Not sure about the VW symbol though. Never paid much attention. What about the Berenstein Bears though??

Destroyed the NBA. That's dramatic as shit. Where was KD suppose to go? Stay in Oklahoma City? Have you ever been to Oklahoma? No offense to the my wife's dust bowl okie gramdmother/great-grandparents, none of which were alive when I came around but I still very much honor them, but Oklahoma sucks. The whole point of free agency is going where you want to be. Not where random dudes think you should be. It's not like he forced a trade. He was a free agent.

There was great parity forming in the league. 2nd best player in the league joining a 73 win team. Softest decision in sports history. Man the nba could have been fun if he didn’t take the easy way out.

So you're stance is that there was great parity forming in the league but one player changed all that? Got ya. I think this "great parity" was a figment of your imagination. The Lakers dominated for a time. The Spurs. The Warriors got in an played in five, losing two of them. And Lebron always went in the east. Three separate stays runs on two teams, mind you. Regardless of this great parity you seem to think was on the brink of existence, there is actually parity now. So he didn't prevent this parity from happening. Now if you thought a rivalry was shaping up between the Thunder and Warriors, then maybe you are right. It leads right back to my point though. A veteran, a free agent, shouldn't stay in a place he is unhappy just because a few fans think he should. That organization is a dumpster fire and the city/state sucks but no, he has to remain miserable because he almost beat a 73 win team in the WCF.

who cares about TV ratings...If its the trump fascists boycotting the coverage...F them...Its refreshing that the Champion won't have a James or a Curry on the roster...

yep, berenstein bears is all kinds of messed up..sooooooo many people as kids have anchor memory of debating if its pronounced beren-STINE or STEEN....but nope, apparently neither all along.
man,i dunno what to tell you.i would swear on my fuggin life it was A vampire and black van and have specific, detailed memories tied to both but im not gonna argue with you about how im not wrong when clearly according to all the evidence i am,haha...and i get it,all official artifacts today supports what has been the case all along.but yeah,im as positive as can be about how "it was" for me....most of the others are weird as fucc and baffle me but i can eventually let them go cos memory is clearly very, very funky and highly fallible...but those 3...na,they are wtf ones for me.
so im not american and have no dog in these fights but tell me what you personally make of the fact the fruit of the loom logo has never had a cornucopia,chic-fil-A was never spelled that way, stouffers stovetop stuffing never existed....and ed mcmahon never presented big checks door to door, either live or on any commercials...??
i am a bit familiar with all these subjects but not enough to swear on any...but these things send so many yanks bonkers trying to resolve them in their minds.

There was great parity forming and yes the 2nd best player in the league joining a 73 win team that went to 2 straight finals did change that parity. It’s unfortunate that KD made that decision and cheapened the Warriors dynasty. They were fun and competitive without him. With him they just eliminated having to compete and just walked all over the league. Shame.

oh,the funny thing is that alot of the merchandise WAS actually made all-black so your car may be that way also...saves costs in manufacturing of course..just like with all the c3po all gold toys when supposedly he had one silver lower leg in every single movie.

you have to wade through all the social garbage, the kneeling, the listen to me garbage to get to the game but...
the alternative is what. baseball. the most boring sport by about 15x.
and wait for the football season to start.
the ratings may suk or be great, in the end it doesn't matter if you're watching the game.

I'll make this very simple argument. If one player, even a player the caliber of KD, if one player can ruin the entire league, then it was ruined to begin with. There was no parity forming. The league up until that point had been about runs of dynasties. You can argue a rivalry was forming between the Warriors and Cavs but that's not parity. That'a two teams dominating their respective conferences. You can argue that a rivalry in the west could have formed between the Warriors and Thunder but that hinged on a free agent staying in a place he clearly wasn't happy. KD coming to the Warriors was as much about lifestyle, and region, as it was basketball. Just like him going to New York. He didn't want to stay in Oklahoma. Who would? He didn't want to leave Oklahoma to go to a place like San Antonio.

Is C3P0 the tall gay one or the short beepy one?
Is C3P0 the tall gay one or the short beepy one?
this idea of great parity is a complete and utter myth...its ALWAYS BEEN the haves and have-nots.a small cluster of 2-4 teams each year that have collected superior talent and then the rest...sure,the games always have to play out and theres many variables at play but the end result has been by and large predictable in terms of who wins the whole thing..its the conglomeration of the best talent obviously and there has ALWAYS been a high concentration of talent within a few teams...its just basic history, not many teams have won the title overall and the overwhelming majority are shared between lakers/celtics/spurs/bulls...remember there has been 20+ teams for many, many decades now and only FOUR teams have dominated.
also for a period in the mid/late 1970s when there truly was great parity the ratings were as low as they have ever been...people want to see the BEST players playing against each other.as many stars and high level guys as possible.....its staggering to me that anyone would want to see it all evened out as much as possible and sprinkle all the talent "fairly" so that everyone gets a "good shot at it"..like no,thats not the way the world works or competition works or bizness works.whether we like it or not.
of course the one caveat to the talent-heavy teams dominating is injury to their main guys and that can let the door open for an upset.

this idea of "parity" sounds like some kind of fever dream that people may be having..its not a thing that ever existed..its very simple like you say.a few teams each year have a legitimate shot due to the high concentration of talent on their roster and that is plainly reflected in the futures odds....i think we can shelve this "things were once fair and equitable in the good old days" fantasy alongside the notion that curry was already an MVP at 22.
strange stuff.

So one of his legs was silver? Never got super into Star Wars but I have seen all but the last one. Some multiple times. I didn't see the Solo spin-off where they cast a midgie to play Henry Jones jr, who is a legit 6'1". The first three, 4,5,6, all run together for me. Hard to differentiate what happened in which one. Ep.1 was hokey as shit but Darth Maul was the shit. Ep.2 and 3 were legit good. The new ones were kinda trash to me. I liked the DB8 robot. I liked Star Killer base. I watched some of the animated Clone Wars which was real good. I know some peeps that worked on the originals at ILM so I try to respect them.
