good work players. i jumped on 2 days ago with a 3 game un parlay, hit it, and last night i went 5/5 on my Proline ticket picking and choosing using the spreadsheet. Solid

Bit early but I was bored and had some spare time.
Spurs @ Celtics tomorrow.
System has:
204.5 (Overall)
198.5 (Last 5)
209 (Home/Away)
Much more varied than when I've done other teams this way but I think with Crowder and Horford coming back for Celtics, the defence has tightened up in the last 5 games. They seem to have lost a bit on offence since then too. Oddly, Spurs' away offense is much higher than overall for the season too.
If we're simply going to find the average between the 3 and go with that then we are currently sat with 204. No notable absences for either team.
We'll have to see what the line is to see if it's worth a play or best to just watch but hopefully saved you some time :) cheers

Ok, here's a better one, since the OKC / SAC game just finished...
I took a look at the google spreadsheet, nice, simple, works good I like it,
It showed a total of 202.5, and a O/U of 214, so a -11.5.
Not sure how many games this calculates, I actually had a 208.5 (Yearly), so a difference of -5.5.
But the last five games (my calculations) showed an increase from 208.5 up to 216.
Then when I used only the offense numbers for the 2 teams (5 games), I had 107.4 and 106.6 for a total of 214.
I figured OKC might be a little tired tonight on the back-to-back so I bet Under on them, but I chose to up my Under to 215.5 @ 1.74 (down from 1.90), but I still missed it by 1.5 pts.......
Interesting, indeed...Where are you pulling L5 stats from?

if you looking at last 5 then it can't be overal last 5. i would have to be last 5 away or last 5 home. as you may know each very differently one from the other.
here a few reasons for why a few of these didnt hit:
1) main players injured (lakers, mvs, to name a couple) they shouldve been no plays 2) revenge games. lakers vs gs. You had to know they were gonna come out and blast them out of the galaxy. 47 assists?>?? new nba record? you think that was a coincidence. You can't count for stuff like that. they were gonna come and embarass them just like they did to them in their home. this was a no play anyway with no dangelo russell. 3) memphis game... you have had 2 main players come back in the last games that were missing. that has changed the totals for the last games but not the average. will take a bit longer to take effect. l4) last but not least.. you can't win them all. this is based on averages. You can't do 100% on 13 games.. you are guesstimating not fortune telling.. there will be unforseen varialbles

Because 1st you don't have to worry about OT killing it, 2) you don't have to worry about the last 1 min of the game people fouling each other for free throws and raising the score. 3rd) having jack azzes like Westbrook go nuts the last 2 min of the game and score 40 points all of sudden when they have only scored 5 points a quarter the whole game and want to try win the game. You can't count for stuff like that. Always look at 1st and 2nd quarter #s for both teams and do it the same way you do the whole game. nothing changes . bet the 1st half. just try it next time and see if it saves your azz

So far just manually, haven't developed a spreadsheet yet for this, but I was using the numbers from the Stats on bet365's site, should maybe double check them with nba.com.... good point!

I have a little and dumb doubt haha. I notice that the total between OFF + DEF of the first team is always bigger than the team below. (as ur example.. 223 first, 209 below) Is it a rule? cuz the result can be changed if we switch the sequence.
Or is there no problem and the total of the second team can be bigger than the first one? (follow ur example, if it was 209-223, the result could be another.)

Don't you think that the scores in the 1st half are inflated though? Teams seem to conserve their energy and play hard defence in the 3rd and 4th. Do the 1H lines reflect this? As in, are they usually higher than half the total points?

It depends on the team. But mainly, most of the time if it's under first half most of the time it will be under full game... most of the time is the key

You don't need a spread sheet or program to do this for you nor do you have to subtract, devide by two and add or subtract.. All you have to do is add the two totals together and devide by two and you will get the same total. You're just doing it the long way you're getting the average of the two. Try it if you don't believe me.. You'll get the same answer

whats the two separate box picks? whats the min/max referring to about?
The one box is all the picks the system spits out regardless of the differentiation. The other box is the picks which have a greater differentiation of +/-5 points and therefore the ones more likely to come in :)
