let me just say that it was one of those games where Lebron could not be breathed on. He got so many calls the drives to the basket was almost cleared for him out of risk of getting whistled. The fouls on Pierce really cost the Nets - he had to sit for significant minutes. He was playing very well, focused and aggressive. Played really good D on Lebron - who got bailed out by the refs unfortunately. Lebron was already playing on emotion and very focused, all those gazilion fouls helped him to dominate the game. D-Will also came out playing very well, aggressive and on a mission - he too was plagued w/ foul troubles & had to sit signficant minutes......that's 2 main guys playing well, who really stepped up both inflicted w/ the refs whistles. They needed them on the court but had to sit down important minutes.
Furthermore Lebron attempted 19 FT's he was put on the line almost more than all of the Nets put together. The Nets attempted just 9 more than Lebron ALONE Though in the boxscore states Lebron had 5 fouls, it wasn't until the game was out of reach that they started giving him the fouls (the regular protocol refs follow to balance the boxscore)
I think i was on the right side. People know i make plays based on the ref angle but failed to anticipate it here. Call me a sucker but i'll be leaning on the Nets again for game 5. Again, they didn't get them to advance just to go down 4-1. Plus in a legit world where the league was clean BK would have great chance to beat the Heat and at the very least take this to 7 games.
I was spot on that the Blazers would come out firing, equating to better offense, buckets and more scoring.......unfortunately i didn't anticipate the Spurs not scoring. I also did not anticipate Pop resting his starters w/ still about over 6 mins left in the 4th Still the score ended at 198 just 12 pts shy of the set total. 6 minutes worth of scoring w/ all starters on the floor i think could have easily filled that deficit......
but it is what it is. Very disappointing finish but i'm still up and have plenty more games to go.

"lay bet" means you are taking the side of the book maker in the "order" a" "back bet" would mean you are taking the side of a bettor, no book makers commission at matchbook they just take a "small" commission,, open up the website and you will see, the above was referring to beating the closer mainly but you can see the money being bet, read thru the above threads a couple of times ....

Sharp capping.... I'm not sure what to expect out of the Nets in Game 5.... sure they'll mentally come to play but will they physically come. I really thought they would take this one too and make it 2-2. Aside from the atomic bomb that is Lebron these teams are even. The nets are arguably even better as a collective unit IMO. However.... lebrons was gassed he put A LOT into this game that went down to the wire. i've been saying all year that D wade hasn't looked good at all. His age and bad knees are starting to show. For these reasons i don't think they'll have enough to beat OKC or the Spurs this. And we know the Pacers are going to get up and bring 110% WWF defense at Miami which will where them out. I'm not burying Brooklyn yet but this was such a pivotal game 4. If Brooklyn would habve won this game 4 after Lebron tried his hardest on a 50 point night (49) and lost Miami would be very vulnerable to losing this series. 3-1 hole on the road with no home court is pretty over in the NBA.... if this were hockey or baseball it would be a little easier...
Disagree about D Will though. He might have played better game 4 but this guy single handidly buried the Nets. Theres no way a dough boy like Mario Chalmers should be out playing him. If D Will at least shows up game 2 they could have split in Miami and then shiit would have really hit the fan.... but always easier said in hindsight.... and i agree with you on the refs....

the 2.03( Lay) 1.98 (Match) basically a coin flip according to matchbook....side and total ....on the baskets so I passed, there was value on the Rangers ML 2.4( lay) vs.(1.7 (match)....they pull everything off once the games start....interesting stuff, GL tonight

Shay Monue the fooled by randomness thread, and "tonight's nba true odds"
strategy is very similar to a strategy that me and a couple buddies use to use. About 6-7 years ago, you could find all the offshore line and exchanges of multiple books on SBR (haven't been there in years.) Whenever the line moved .3 or greater from the open in baseball (example: -100 to -130 or to - 140 or vice versa +180 to +150) we would take that line, due to inefficiencies of the opening line. We would also have multiple books to take advantage of the slower books that have not yet adjusted (arbitrage). Now a days lines and books are a lot sharper/faster. If I remember correctly- this strategy worked well for a year and a half. Then got crushed the following year.
