This is the crazy part of the season as we're almost halfway through, players are coming back from injury, going out to injury, teams are getting fatigued and trade rumors are swirling. The next 2 weeks have been historically, from my perspective, some of the wildest outcomes and we saw some last night. Fasten your seatbelts.
I was really interested in the Lakers game last night ever since the Clips beat the Suns on Monday at the Forum. I had a hunch that there was no way Lakers would lose that game to the Raps as their next game was hosting the Suns this Thurs on TNT. (Btw, you won't see Kevin Cutler led ref crew on a Raps game for quite some time, but I'll let you know when we do as the 1st thing that opens in my browser every morning is NBA Ref Assignments just for those situations) Anyways a Lakes win was in the cards and here's why: the Suns have not won at the Forum in their last 5 trips, albeit against a combo of Clips/Lakes, that's 5 consecutive times they've been in that visiting locker room and come out with an L. Moreover, Phx has not beaten an LA team in 9 straight games, that's astounding. Think about this, last time Phx won at the Forum was Dec 21, 2021 with CP3/Crowder/Ayton and Carmelo was still playing, that is crazy. For those reasons I was interested in the Lakers outcome, hoping for a win so all my loot could be on Suns Th on TNT for those above-mentioned reasons. If Phx loses 6 straight at the Forum and 10 consecutive games to LA teams then I'll tip my hat and graciously lose but I don't see that happening and we'll most likely get Suns as a slight dog and hit the alt + line too.
Back to the craziness, this is the part of the season when a depleted Pistons team as 6.5 home dogs with Bogdonvich/Bey/Hayes can blow out a fully healthy Wolves team. Where an undermanned Suns team can go into Oracle and beat the Warriors by 12 as 12.5 dogs. A Thunder team with a 5-14 record on the road goes into Philly and wins by 19 as a 10pt dog. All those happened exactly a year ago. Anytime you hear a team is "undermanned" hit that tem. And my favorite, unders start hitting. Should be a fun couple weeks.

I think this is a good spot for Wolves to break Cs home win streak. Edwards had a quiet game last night b/c of foul trouble and should respond well tonight. Cs frontcourt may be thin or hobbled which doesn't bode well against KAT and Gobert. I like we are getting an inflated line due to Cs undefeated home record, Minny traveling on b2b and bettors thinking Minny can't beat Boston twice. I successfully faded Wolves for a rough patch and now think Cs are going into their rough patch.

Love this one. Jazz have been on tv (TNT/ESPN) 4 times this season and lost all 4. 2 heartbreakers to Phx and a shellacking by Lakers. This is their last ESPN televised game of the season, no more after this. Coming home after beating 76ers and Bucks I do not see them having a letdown at home. Last time these teams met early in the season Utah could not score, now they are scoring. Nuggs are teetering, like all front runners this is the time of season you let games slip. A raucous crowd in Utah tonight on national tv for the last time this season is the perfect recipe in my opinion for a Jazz win. It doesn't get much better than this situation.

Let's make sure we get the current arena names right. The Lakers and Clippers now play inside crappyname.com Arena and the Warriors now call the Chase Bet Center in downtown San Francisco their home.

I respect any handicapper who makes a final score prediction that is nowhere near the pointspread. StraightWagers predicted a 23-point coverby the Jazz and they covered by 20, and the cover was NEVER in doubt. We see so many of these chickenshit talking heads on TV who are forced to offer predictions meekly putting forth their guesses that are very close to the pointspread. And why do they play it so safe? Because they're scared of being ridiculed if they're wrong, but you can't be ridiculed too badly if you picked an outcome that closely reflected the pointspread. The people on TV have no balls.
Congrats, StraightWagers, on tremendous calls on both the T-Wolves and the Jazz.
