Denver/Memphis are two teams who are going to hit an ATS skid here very soon. Denver has a rough stretch coming, and Memphis is going to suffer without Randolph. Memphis had what, 8 ATS wins in a row. What goes up must come down.
Now for the game itself. This play is all about the schedule spot. For those who don't know how I bet or what spot I am talking about, it is very simple. Memphis is coming off of a 4 game trip. This would normally be enough, but to add onto the spot, they get one day of rest off of the trip and then get a back to back vs Spurs and Nuggets.
I would've made this a 4u play if Memphis would've covered vs SA and more importantly this line would've opened where I thought it should, @ Memphis -2.5.
So I downgraded the play based on the line itself. However this schedule spot doesn't happen that often, and given the season I am having, this spot warrants a 2u play.
For the record I like Denver all the way up to -2.5.

Hmm...don't you think they can win this to stop their horrible run? After this, their next 3 games are road games against tough teams like Hawks, OKC and Boston.

could they? Anything is possible. However what goes up must come down. Memphis is not a good team and they are far from a contender.
And the fact that Memphis is off a 4 game trip, with those next 3 games on the road, make this sandwich spot even better.
I had this spot marked, and if Denver was getting just a couple more points, this would've been a much bigger play.

Completely agree. Denver is a much better team. I've got Denver as +4.0 and Memphis only +0.1. Denver is a top 5 team in the NBA and Memphis is slightly below average. Solid pick here SB.
