Thanks guys for your comments. I honestly get as much out of this thread as you guys may take from it. For example, I reduced my OKC bet after seeing some of the comments about the game. Saved me some money - but we still used the model to bang out some live bets to turn it into a profitable endeavor.
As far as the record goes, tonight wasn’t great at 1-2. Overall year to date is still pretty good at 60% (66-44). I do like ranking the teams from most confident to least confident so you can determine based on your own research how much to put down on a particular pick or whether to bet it at all. But I certainly think getting more input from people is great - whether you’re for or against the bet.
I’ll try to post when I’m looking at live bets. I won’t count it against the record, but it’ll give you an idea of what I’m looking at based on the model I use. For example, im watching this Magic game right now. If the line swells to 15+, I’m taking it. If it gets up to 20+, I’m taking more. I see the spread being less than 10, so factoring my 5 point buffer rule, I’ve got the green light at anything over 15. I’ll try to post here if I make the bet. If not, we’ll be back at it tomorrow!

Lol, after a 12-0 run by the Magic in the 3rd quarter, there won’t likely be a bet from me on this game. It was +13.5 when I posted and it got close to a live bet for me, but oh well.
