Orlando is one of the few top teams that plays well as a big favorite. They have been a double digit fave 20 times times this year and covered the big number 12 times with an average scoring differential of 14.1 pts.

In three spots as a DD dog, Memphis is 0-3 S/U, 1-2 ATS, with a scoring differential of - 11.6

They're 13-6 ATS this season as double-digit home favorites.  So much for "tends to overlook their competition."

As double digit home favorites this season seeking revenge against a team that beat them earlier in the season, the Magic are 3-0 ATS, beating Oklahoma City 108-94, Chicago 111-82, and Miami, 96-80.

The Grizzlies beat the Magic, 99-94, in Memphis on January 25th.

Of the Grizzles' last 7 losses, 5 have been by double digits, with an average losing margin of 11 pts. over the 7 . This is not a scrappy, mentally tough team. They will and do mail it in when they're in a bad spot.

Orlando is 6-2-1 ATS this season after having a winning streak of more than two games snapped.  Last season they were 8-2 ATS in this situation.  In 2007-2008 they were 8-1 ATS.  That's 22-5-1 ATS the last three regular seasons after having a 3+game winning streak snapped.  Sounds like they don't like losing.

Orlando has covered 13 of its last 14 games (playoffs included) as a favorite after losing a game by double digits in which they also allowed their opponent to shoot better than 50%.  The Magic allowed San Antonio to shoot 51.8% in a 12-point loss on Friday night.

The one non-cover out of the 14 came on the road. 

Okay, I'll share the gist of it.  The situation has to do with when the Magic are seeking revenge for a loss in which Dwight Howard played great while the rest of the team played like ass. 

In that January 25th loss in Memphis, Howard led the team with 27 points on 9-14 shooting, sank 9 of his 11 foul shots, grabbed 15 rebounds and blocked 6 shots.  While he was wreaking all that havoc, his teammates were bricking to the tune of 37.5% (24-64) while attempting two fewer free throws than Howard shot by himself.

Man, my bad but I was referring to the opening line in each contest (obviously changes the ATS results) but Portland was a push at best and a loss for Magic backers on the opening line.

Actually they are 12-8 after going back through the information...my apologies for the misinformation as it was way too early typing a brief along with researching where to put my money on these frauds.

Trust me, I have no problem checking and rechecking my stats and if I'm wrong have no qualms admitting so but you are as much in error as I am this time. I'll be happy to verify my sources and information to do so.

I mistakenly included the Toronto home contest on January 6, 2010 as that was a SU home loss for the Magic too but only a one game stand.  Show me where I’m incorrect in my stats. A game off here does not refute the fact that the Magic are not very good coming home off a loss or in the first game of a homestand, especially –vs- a team they think they’ll roll.
