“Spurs played terrible, OKC played a great game and yet Spurs still only lost by 1.”
This is the type of stuff that will make people wrongly bet the
Spurs tonight. The Thunder did NOT play a great game in game 2:
- 18 turnovers.
- Team shot 5/19 (26%) from 3 point land.
- Gave up back to back 3s with under a minute
left including the foul on Aldridge.
- Roberson, Waiters, Morrow, Payne (role
players) combine for 5 points, 4 rebounds, and 1 assist going 2-12 from
the field in a combined 70 minutes.
Stars play well everywhere, but role players play better at home, especially in the playoffs. The Spurs will come out extremely focused off their terrible performance last game, but they aren’t winning in OKC tonight.
- How many people are forgetting the Spurs are 20-26 (43%) SU against winning teams in the last 2 seasons on the road?
- How many people are forgetting the Thunder are 12-2 (86%) SU against the Spurs at home since 2011 when both Durant and Westbrook are in the lineup? Including against the Spurs roster that went to back2back finals.
San Antonio never wins in OKC, tonight will be no different. Popovich had his team ready and better prepared in game 1 but it’s a different series now.
