Can someone explain how books come up with 2H lines? It seems like no matter what the 1H score, the books always post the same 2H line: roughly 1/2 of the FG line.
For example, today's game's FG o/u is 185. 1/2 of this is 92.5. The 1H had 110 points scored. Much higher than 92.5 pace. But the line for 2H is still 93.5 -- just 1 point higher than 92.5.
And I've see this all the time. Does the 1H score really have no effect on what the 2H scoring will be? It seems like there should be more scoring since the teams are scoring at a faster clip.
