it doesnt take a genius to figure it out. marnes has come out saying d12 told him he wants to be in la. d12 himself has said he wants to play for a title favorite, not just a team looking to win a round in the playoffs. and his agent has come out saying he only wants to live in a warm weather place, which should rule out new york/boston/chicago.

houston is dumb if they gave up scolia he's just a little bit worse than gasol, they didn't improve at all there, they would of been better off just letting orleans and lakers trade, send gasol and odom to hornets for cp3

Pretty much hand the lakers the title now... lakers used to get smoked at the PG position, now they are set..

I wouldn't give up both for CP3. It's just not worth it. The lakers won the title because of Gasol. Also throwing in a 6th man of the year award winner?

For Chris Paul I would do 1 for 1. There are arguably 4 point guards in the league up to his level. Rose, Williams, Westbrook,

For Dwight Howard I would do 2 stars for 1. There is only one of him in the league.

If I were the lakers I would push hard to get rid of Bynum. He's a pretty good player, but he can't stay healthy. He's a slightly healthier version of Greg Odom.

but people are forgetting the reason why the lakers were good was because they had something noone else in the league had which was 3 7 footers who were all skilled

howard is good and all but he is only good on one side of the ball he shoots ft's worse than shaq so and he leads the league in techs every year so what happens when he gets in foul trouble whos the backup and whose the lakers 4 at least nowitiki (spelling) was held in check vs the lakers because there bigs guarded him

 whose going to guard the durants and bigs like that now that odom and gasol is gone? how many techs are the lakers going to get with artest kobe and howard

At the very least now the JJ Barea's of the world won't look like the second coming of Christ against Showtime's PGs.

 I dont understand the trade if they do not get Howard for Bynum. There are losing there size and depth. The best thing about Lamar is his ability to play three positions. When Bynum gets hurt, (Which is every year) the lakers dont really miss a beat with lamar coming in. As a Laker fan they might be more exciting but not sure they are any better than the team with Lamar and Pau.

If I was the Orlando GM and seeing this news, I would not trade Howard to LA.  This Laker team is gonna be crippled giving up two important guys up front and currently only left with a guy who can't play a whole season in Bynum.   Orlando has all the leverage on the Lakers now for any trade deal.  And what can the Lakers really offer at this point?  Bynum?  haha
