i can only see this as an all in from the lakers GM. he will take his chances that orlando will deal howard. the lakers weren't going to win anyways with last years roster, i like the chance he is taking

So let me get this straight. The idea here is that someone buys the Hornets. They were getting a sick deal, how is this gonna help them getting bought? CP3 will probably stay and Lebron their ass. Nice move owners.

This is the best deal New Orleans will get. All of those players for a guy who won't be re-signing.  The owners aren't looking at what's best for the Hornets.  They just don't want to see CP3 with the Lakers.  As a Laker fan I thought they gave up way too much anyway so I'm fine with it.  Try selling the Hornets next year with the same roster they have and no Chris Paul. Obviously someone else will trade for him but they won't get the quality of an Odom, Scola, Martin and Dragic. Combined that's a damn good haul.

Don't see how Stern can veto the trade. Sounded fair in my opinion. The lakers traded arguably their 2nd and 3rd best players for a better #2.

The Hornets (league owned), appeared to have gotten the best of the deal. Houston appears happy, otherwise they never woulda agreed to it.

This trade has to go through eventually. I don't see how Stern can have a good enough explanation to stop it.
