i remember back in the old days, when the lakers were a good team. 1 of their numerous finals appearances started with them getting a week off, just like the Dubs. That Laker team was supposed to roll in game 1 but instead of rolling they were flat in the first half & lost the game. i believe it was the 2004 lakers vs pistons. Lakers were like -10 & got slaughtered. so when i saw the line was 3.5 & not 8.5...celtics. a team with 8 finals appearances vs a team with no finals experience? hello that says it all. Vegas isnt giving out gimmees to warriors bettors. you will get game 2.
That was an all-time great Pistons team. Chances, Rip, Ben, Rasheed, Tashaun. This Celtics team has the potential to be all-time great. With a team like the Warriors, super experienced, old. The rest will be welcomed. I think the long series for Boston, the flight out West etc, will affect Boston but who knows? Young legs. A team that has been on the cusp for so long finally in the finals. Truth be told, Boston is the one team that I won't be upset if they beat the my Warriors. I'm first generation Oakland. My dad is from Boston. All Boston teams are my second teams.
TIME TO BRING BACK THE OBAMA CAGES!

Teams that are coming off a road game and now start a new playoff series on the road again are (drum roll) 19-34 SU25-27-1 ATS27-26 to the over. Dates back to 2003. They are 0-3 SU and ATS so far in this season with Mavs laying an egg in their series against the Suns and also Warriors and Philly did it as well against the Heat.
Nice find, buddy.

Let’s just say Celtics win game one….what will the ML be for warriors game two? Would it be wise to take the ML on warriors game two? Warriors cannot lose two at home that would be demoralizing. Let’s not get into the high ML debates because if warriors are a decent ML game two how can warriors backers not play the ML?

I think it would be slightly more expensive but not overwhelmingly. It seems to be that most see a split here. So it becomes pick your poison. Did you think Boston steals game 1? Do you think they take game 2. I don't think the ML will be that significantly different that the approach becomes you guessing how the swing will go. And with these teams, it could go either way best option would probably be to play live game 1 and take the loser ML game 2. If the Warriors win game 1, the Celtics will be a tasty ML game 2. If the Celtics take game 1, you have to take the Warriors game 2. I'm a diehard Homer so I'm looking for the Warriors to take both at home but honestly, with these two teams, id the Warriors swept, I wouldn't be shocked. If Boston swept, I wouldn't be shocked. These are my #1 and #2 teams, my entire life. I'm first generation West Oakland. My dad is from Roxbury. Lived in Dorchester. Lived in Mattapan. I spent a couple summers in Hyde Park. Let's see one. I never thought in my life I would see a Boston vs Bay final. These teams are evenly matched. The media keepa talking about the Celtics size advantage, which is a joke. They have long wings with JB and JT but they run Al and Timelord who are both 6'8"-6'9", and that's it. They fucking defend. They go through ridiculous offensive stretches but they also have droughts. This series will come down to who hits jumpers. Timelord and Al will not let the Warriors eat in the paint in the same way they did against Memphis. The Warriors will not out rebound Boston like they did Memphis AND Dallas. How the fuck did we out rebound Memphis, as such a small team, and Memphis started Steven Adams AND Jaren Jackson? These two teams are fundamentally sound. I've said several times that it feels like Boston's core of Marcus, JB, JT, and Al have been together 10 years. The Warriors core actually has been together 10 years. Watching both develop, I see those guys, Al is old, but Marcus, JB, JT, developing what Steph, Dray, and Klay have chemistry wise. Marcus is a high basketball IQ guy like Dray. JT is a special generational talent like Steph. JB is the long two guard like Klay. Slightly shorter, not the pure shooter or the defender that Hay day Klay was, but way more athletic. I want my Warriors to win this year but if we do, I'm all over Boston next year. My wagers for the finals are Golden State, the Bay, the Town, the City game 1, Boston game 3, both ATS

BB- was this just one of those nights where one team miraculously couldn’t miss from 3 even with their eyes closed? or deeper concern for the Warriors.
I think they’re in a world of trouble. Boston has the better, deeper, younger, faster and more polished roster.
Take away Curry and who are you afraid of? Klay Dinwiddie, Jordan Poole? Maybe I’m over reacting but this could’ve been the series tonight.

In the fourth quarter, all of the sudden the great Warriors ball movement was absent. Udoka went Pritchard for most of the fourth. Kerr went with Iggy. Fascinating.
First half, Warriors look unbeatable. But I kept looking at the score and the C's were close. Wait till Tatum gets comfortable shooting. Klay cannot move defensively.

IGGY should never play another minute in this series. He turned the momentum early in the 4th. He had that midget Pritchard on him, 1 on 1 and Iggy decided it was best to take a deep fall away turn around jumper that missed so badly, led to a Boston transition 3.. Iggy should have took Pritchard to the basket, scored or draw a foul. Big momentum shift.

I told my buddy before the game started that Warriors were losing. After I created this post, I saw one awful sign after another that indicated Warriors would lose this game. Every mush and novice, and even some sharia, were on this game, yet the line didn’t move. Nonetheless, the Celtics shooting from distance on the road was one of the greatest I have ever witnessed. Will it be duplicated, I doubt it. But it doesn’t mean Celtics can’t find other ways to hang around. Kerr made a huge mistake not going for the kill in the 4th and not calling a time out when the lead was cut to 7. Poole was probably the single biggest reason they lost. His 4-5 turnovers came at the worst time and kept the Celtics in the game. He was awful. I think Warriors will respond and take game 2 but this is now an unpredictable series. I can easily see Boston winning game 2, Warriors splitting in Boston and then winning game 5 and the NBA still gets 6 games in the Finals while screwing every bettor. Having said all that, if you see Foster officiating game 2, bet the Warriors.
