I'm most likely not betting on the Finals but that could change. This is going to be one hell of a series and I don't need money on the games to enjoy them.

hurts the C's IMO. Even if the C's break the Lakers homecourt in game 1 or 2 the odds that they can win 3 in a row in Boston aren't great IMO. If the C's and Lakers split in LA, Boston probably wins 2 of 3 in Boston and home court is restored for LA and they have 6 and 7 at home to win it.

This is a huge advantage for the home team in this series.  Many people have complained to league offices about it being unfair but must be done because of the scheduling.  This doesn't hold water IMO as other sports have not gone to this stupid 2-3-2 finals format.

Currently I have a very strong lean on the celtics + the points in game 1. The key to this series is going to be the bench play of the lakers IMO. If Sasha and Farmer make significant contributions, then the Lakeshow are golden. Now, the last thing that everyone remembers is Kobe going apeshit on the suns with RIDICULOUS shots. Unbelievable MJ fade away type shots.. You know what I mean. I don't think that Kobe will be able to carry the team on his back against the celtics and Pau Gasol is a box. A big box at that who should be able to be contained by the Celtics big men.

Now the whole revenge factor from two seasons ago does worry me a bit but I think the emergence of Rajon Rondo will be a huge difference maker in this series. He should eat up Fisher all day and he will. The celtics play well on the road and the lakers do not. It has been shown to be true all season long.

Now if you think boston is going to win this series, the ML in game 1 is sort of a must play considering that Phil Jackson is like 48-0 when he wins game 1 of a playoff series.

The 3/6/13 theory is in effect as well

I could add a lot more but there is still two days left... lol

Correction! I lost 5 times in a row against boston! in two series? nickel bets and quarter parlays, so I said Hellll no! Yea, if I have not flamed out by now that means I am up significantly, and there is nothing like that feeling! I have some good years in football, but average, I start wagering after the NBA teams have played over 30-30 or more games, and College, and ride it and sometimes I am not on Covers til the CF season agin! But, still have a bit of money, but nothing like I started bettingFebruary March 09!!!! Gotta know when to fold em!!!! I was going to make a bigger deposit, but after this, Im thinking NOPE, and why? May win, could lose! No need to be greedy! BOL My Friend! Summer fun, is almost here! PG

Lakers in 7 games.........Celtics will spilt the two games in LA then win two out of three in Boston going back to LA up 3-2. Lakers will then win game six to force a game seven winning in dramatic fashion and have their victory parade in LA.  The story is already written.......

You do know the Lakers beat the Celtics in Boston this year right?

As well as closed ALL 3 playoff series on the ROAD?

You do know the regular season means absolutely NOTHING, especially with THIS boston celtics squad which had very little chemistry throughout the season.

The Celtics are better than every team the Lakers have faced so far in the playoffs. Quit relying on history because its just that, HISTORY.

The two regular season games between these teams were decided by ONE POINT, and in both cases the road team won.

The Celts are a better team now than they were in the regular season.

Am taking Boston +6 (bot the hook) for game 1, and a bet for them to take it all.

I would suggest researching how the team with home court advantage with the 2-3-2 format has done compared to the 2-2-1-1-1 format.

Kobe is one of the greatest players of all time and a winner, he can carry any team on his back.  When he is on there is nothing anyone can do to stop him.

When you grab over 11 boards a game you are not a box.  I promise you that.  How many guys in the NBA averaged a double double this year?  He will get his points and boards just fine.  Garnett isn't nearly the force he used to be and has lost a step.

Probably but doesn't it always seem the wily vet always gets the last laugh at the end of these games.  Fisher will not hurt the team at all.

First you talk about history and than you say it doesn't matter in t he next post.  Which one is it?

I don't bet the playoffs much because everything that is true for the regular season goes out the window for the playoffs.  Value is very hard to find in the postseason compared to the regular season.

Also please check the stats of the 2-3-2 format and how the home team does, the C's have a little to no shot of winning this series.
