Chicago without hesitation. Better defensively imo. Throw Taj Gibson in for Butler and run it to the bank. Atl had been tanking up until the NYK meltdown, plus CHI has owned ATL
"Every time the Hawks square off with the Chicago Bulls,
no matter the venue, things are dicey from an Atlanta perspective. For
reference, the Bulls have 9 out of the last 11 overall in the series,
and with four straight wins over the Hawks (including 3 in double-digits
with a 39-point demolition)"

Chicago backs you've convinced me! It's part of my new capping strategy: instead of knowing it all, make the most informed decisions. Looking at the Atlanta interior, it's a bombed out crater-- with Elton Brand as your only legitamate big. In 43 minutes against the Knicks he scored 1 point and 6 rebounds. As another thread starter said, if Mike Scott drops another 30 like he did against the Knicks, so be it. I doubt Jimmy Butler plays. But I think Chicago-- off a tough loss/beatdown @ Miami-- wins wire to wire. That's they're MO. That's what they did @ Phoenix!

Bulls, 96 vs Hawks, 98 (This Line Should Be Hawks -1.5) The Odds Makers have this Bulls -1 cause on paper The Bulls Should Win and that moron Joe Public is probably on their side, However...
I personally think its going to be a 96-97 game Hawks but the game could go over time so it maybe more. But I see it being a 1 point game with the Hawks pulling it out at home, heres why...
-The Hawks are 17-10 at home where as the Bulls are 13-16 on the Road. -The Hawks and Bulls are basically both .500 teams. Give or take a few games. The Hawks are 7-18 against teams with a record of .500 and above where as the Bulls are 8-14 against teams with a record of .500 and above. (I understand that the Hawks are below an average record of .500) they are actually .473. over the course of 55 games thats basically .500 in my book. BUT HERE IS WHY THE HAWKS TONIGHT... MOTIVATION. -Yes The Bulls are sitting in the number 4 spot of the conference. But they are in the number 2 spot in the division. 13 games behind the Pacers and 7 games ahead of the Pistons. So the Bulls are kinda just there. Where as the Hawks are at the number 8 spot in the conference tied with The Bobcats, .5 a game behind the Nets, and 1.5 games back from Washington. What does this mean. It means with the Hawks awful Road Record of 9-19... Home victories are that much more important. With a series of fortunate events going there way they could be fourth in the Eastern Conference in acouple games. Look for The Atlanta Hawks To Come Out Swinging Tonight Until The Buzzer. I WILL PUT THE GAME IN A 3 TEAM TEASER as well.
Let me know what you guys think I will do the 9pm and 10pm games shortly. AS ALWAYS ANY INFORMATION OR INSIGHT IS GREATLY APPRECIATED.

Trenchu: Your reasoning is sound. All the home record/ similar record stuff is less than meaningful. It's a long season. Hawks since Jan 1 they are 6-15 s/u. Chicago since Jan 1 is 17-8 s/u. To say they have similar records is suspect at best. The motivation factor is legit. But an undersized team spiraling downward versus a bigger team trending upward. The best arguement for you, which you left out, is Chicago is 1-7 s/u without Jimmy Butler. Best of luck!

W/out Millsap I took the Bulls straight up - 1 1/2 and also parlayed them with under 190. Atlanta might not break 80 tonight. The better team will win tonight - that's the Bulls.

I can handle losing if I bet the bulls which I did - but if I were to bet the Hawks tonight I might as well fill $100 bills in those rocket launchers they shoot t shirts out of and fire them into a crowded corner. Bulls is the play. They should clearly win this game - will they - that remains to be seen but they have the better defense, they are healthier and they should control the boards tonight too.

I think one of the biggest mistakes a gambler can make is over reacting to injuries. With that said. Good day Gentlemen. Maybe we start following me tomorrow. Maybe I start following you.
Raptors -3
Rockets Over 212
Hawks +2
Trail Blazers mL
Suns -3.

Talking about Butler's injury was one factor. And I'm the one who brought it up. In the end, through the help of various discussions, I was able to think deeper into this game AND WIN CASH WITH CHICAGO. It's about discussion and looking at every angle. Turned out the 1) poor record of Atlanta since Jan 1 versus the HOT record of Chicago since Jan 1 2) the Chicago bigs of Noah, Boozer, Taj and Nazzi Mohamad over old man Elton Brand (Milshap injury) and 3) Chicago off a double digit loss far outweighed the loss of Butler. In the end it was a narrow, pleasurable victory. The intelligent discussion was so helpful; cause I'm not that smart!!!!!!!!!! Had the small road dog Toronto as well.
