Why would anyone lay 2 TD with Boston tonight?

 

agreed...I think they have enough confidence to play WITH the Celtics tonight.....I'm not sure about the ML, but I can't resist the 14.5. 

agreed wasa - but if youve watched all 4 games, the hawks tried to play half court with boston in the first 2 and got shut down...games 3 and 4 (with nothing to lose) they used their athleticism to their advantage and took it to boston. i think they are still playing with house money tonight

this is not the same hawks team from games 1 and 2. this one knows they can outrun and outhustle boston regardless of homefloor

good points KOAJ.... Atlanta's been like that all season, like Jekyll and Hyde.  If they get the running game goin' and Johnson gets off they feed off it and the young bigs start rollin' and good things happen all around. 

They can play with anyone if they come out strong.  If not, you see Horford and Smith play with no energy (see games 1 and 2 in Boston).

Gonna lay a small value on the ML for shits and giggles and watch to see how the first half plays out.

No, BUT playing at home helped a whole f-ing lot (especially in game four when they were down double digits going into the fourth quarter). 

To be honest, I do not have any thoughts about tempo, style of play, or rebounding in this series.  I know what has happened thus far in this series.  I know what went down in games three and four.  I know this series is tied 2 - 2.

I asked myself this:  How can I take the Hawks for a fourth straight time ATS, when all of a sudden, bettors actually find the points attractive?

i dont think highly at all of the wizards. i dont think they play a lick of defense and have never trusted arenas to do anything of substance in a big spot (although he will ring up 40 on PHX in january and tell you all about it).





Arenas could be the best player in the history of the league.  Just could be.  Also with "Tough Juice" and twan, this team is primed to make a run and win it all this year.  Wiz + the points please. 

 

KOAJ, that Game 5 upset by the Cavaliers in 2006 was big, but those Cavs won 50 games and went a respectable 19-22 on the road that season.  These Hawks went 37-45 including an awful 12-29 on the road.  I'll give anyone +2000 on the Hawks tonight.

Wizards plus points tonight??????  Long rest for the CAVS on their way back to Cleveland...series could end tonight and the cavs can sit back and rest....Wizards give up way to many offensive rebounds...Cavs minus 5 is a bargain.

 

 

Why is it crazy when Boston already easily covered lines of -15 in both its home games?  Now you think they should be favored by just 9 points?  Are you that swayed by what happened to the Celtics in Atlanta?  I see the Celtics having those 14 points covered by halftime, and it only gets worse for the Hawks after that.

The last three years before his injury this year he averaged at least 25 points, 6 assists, and 1.5 steals per game.  Peaking w/ his last two seasons at 28.5 points per game plus.  Lethal in the clutch.  Can score whenever he wants.  Best player ever pretty much.

spaz - SI is showing 59/41 on boston laying the 2 touchdowns...so bettors arent finding the points that attractive...if you believe those stats

i'm not trying to put myself out there as an nba expert...far from it...i just like to find when things change in real life yet perception remains close to the same

something changed in game 3, then again in Q4 game 4. hawks got wiser and tougher and doc reverted back to being an idiot. does a change of scenery make doc less of an idiot? does it make the hawks into a scared 8 seed bitch? is the mentality of this hawks team different than it was in games 1 and 2?

KOAJ- Im seriously about to DUMP on the Hawks.  I just think getting 14 points here could be the steal of the century.  I love this play.  I cannot talk myself out of it.  Hawks have confidence, and could win out-right.........At least back door cover.  14 is way too many this should be like 8 or 9, so a gift of 5 points in my opinion.

Get a clue man.  I like Gilbert a lot, but obviously Im joking.  When I make statements like "Gilbert puts up 78 tonight" a smart person would probably understand that Im not completely serious.  But since you're obviously dumb, it ok, you get a pass.
