This series will end very quickly (unless the league wants to draw it out). The Cavs are too big, too fast, and too strong (and with Irving playing on one leg:). The Hawks are just small and quick. It's like watching a heavyweight fight a lightweight. How did the Cavs ever lose to these guys during the regular season. Maybe the Love made this team soft?! Thompson is a beast. Between him, LBJ and Mozgov the puny Hawks have no chance (maybe one game, max).

listen, not only the LeBron factor" if the games is close, refs all in on Cavs." Atlanta s just a very bad team that doesn't have a single edge in this series... With that said I believe the league will let Atlanta take game 2....

Hawks had a great season but they really are pretty bad IMO. They are getting banged on the boards. I liked how Carroll played Lebron tho, made him miss at least 3 layups I saw. Without him I really think they get swept. I'm not overreacting either. This team barely beat the Wizards. If they don't win game 2, really think they get swept. I doubt they win on the road. I'm on Cavs game 2 large. Cavs can erase a deficit with this team fast. Hawks will have a hard time protecting leads in this series without Carroll. Kyrie went 4-10 and Shump 1-7. Dellovadova 0-6, yet they won by 8 after being down as much as 6. Cavs should have won by 14+ today. Anyone who bets Hawks this series plain and simply is stupid IMO and doesn't mind wasting $. This is no value in them this series IMO. Especially with Carroll out, (if indeed he is out which is seems). Cavs Vs GS will be one of the best series in a long time, I just wish Love was healthy to see him in there too.

BB, they don't stink... And yes Carroll might be out for game #2 with that horrible leg injury but don't count them out yet. There is no way in hell they want to go to Cleveland down 0-2 and try and win in Cleveland. Bud will have to start using Mack and Scott because his bench is looking mighty thin. I like both Mack and Scott, they played well this season for the Hawks in the reg season. People are already counting this team out but do you really think JR is going to go off again like he did today? I don't think so. Bud will tweak his match-ups. I really hope that this goes back to Cleveland 1-1. I am also waiting on the ref assignments and I bet that Scott Foster will show his ugly head again sometime later in this series. Im just waiting for the public to push the line further (hoping) for +3 by tip-off just in case as added insurance but I dont think the Hawks wont go down without a fight. Just remember, you stated this sometime last season as well, a lot of teams that lose their good players (I rate Carroll very highly) step up in their first game with their absence. I really like Hawks to bounce back. Also its hard for the road teams to win back to back games in the same city during the playoffs as the home team has the advantage. Put it this way, in Round 3 of playoffs since 2002, only 4 teams have done this from 14 attempts. Those teams were Spurs (won 111-108) vs Suns in 2005, Celtics (won 95-92) vs Magic 2009, Mavs (won 112-105) vs Thunder in 2010 and Spurs (won 93-86) vs Grizzlies in 2012.
King James and his mighty Heat had the chance to do it in 2012 season vs the Pacers and lost 99-92. Maybe history will repeat itself but I do think the Hawks make the significant changes they need to take this game and level it at 1-1
BOL on what you decide mate.. Not stating Hawks win the series but I do believe they can keep it very close in game #2

Good info, Aussie. I really like the Hawks before tonight. Their lack of a star player to take over really scares me. People can't compare these guys to the Spurs (not even Spurs JV), the Spurs have go to guys who can produce at a moment's notice. When these Hawks fall behind, they are at a big disadvantage against the likes of LBJ.

Can't wait to see Cavs Warriors Matchup :))....I just don't see how this effin Hawks team be able to conquer this LeBron team..Millsap guarding him is somewhat bull...he was like the power forward in that team...Al Horford center...then double T and Mozgov dominate again the board???There only hope was to hit all there 3 points attempt especially Ashton Kutcher hitting that three...Most likely kent baze will probably guard lbj..then..we all know Atlanta Coach is the better coach...coach of the year...pop assistant...but he's not pop..and even though they have a bad arse record...they just have no go to guy...how was that gonna work especially the nba...and whats worst for this Hawks loss..aside from losing Carroll...Cavs played streetball style of basketball where LeBron playing iso and JR jacking up shots like its a pickup game...then how? bench scoring..all JR...then what if bench explodes...eventhough irving a non factor...playing old...

Good God, look at that lineup! Korver, Teague, and Millsap as your biggest scorers!? These guys overacheived in the regular season. Busted their @sses to win their division. Big deal. Reminds me of the Bulls with even less scoring options.

Look for budenholzer to take Korver off of JR smith. He HAS to IMO, what a defensive liability...I think it's time for coach of the year to make adjustments. How can he let a guy go 8-10 from the arc and not do anything game 2 right?? Yet to be known, let's pay attention to interviews and any news on strategy in that regard.

IMO? It's not just in your opinion! It is fact!
Korver has been ATROCIOUS on D and worse, O. He has really been the source of the Hawks struggles to score (in addition to Thabdo being out on D)
9,2,3 PTs in the past three games.
This son of a a bit** disappeared like David fu**in Blaine under a bedsheet on a Times Square street.
He needs to wake the f*** up.

and yet Korver has the best +/- in the playoffs, ranks up there in locks/steals, rebounds well and when he's not on the court the opponent ALWAYS go on a run..
He's the least of ATL's problem.. Problem is ball movement is noneexistent(that's why Korver is also struggling offensively). It's a bunch of iso ball now, nothing like "Spurs".

But Hawks are finished for sure. They are just not playing like they used to. Now they play iso ball instead of ball/body movement. Schroder and Teague are trying to take over but they are just not good enough finishers.

I thought the Hawks looked pretty good in the first half with ball movement. In the third quarter I think there were three ticky-tack whistles against Atlanta for illegal screens, and they really seemed to mess with Atlanta's psyche. After that their offense stagnated. Teague missed so many little runners.
Hats off to the Cavaliers. They have all the SWAG, from JR to Bron to Tristan. Game 1 was weird because JR pretty much street balled the Cavs to victory. If he makes 1 or 2 fewer of those ridiculous shots, though, maybe the Hawks have a chance to tie it up late.
I was way wrong thinking the Hawks would be playing loose and free though. A few illegal screen whistles in the third and they got tight.
